How to Solve WORD PROBLEMS | ASVAB Arithmetic Reasoning Review

We are going through five different types of word problems you might encounter on your ASVABs or regular class. This video is an overview of some example problems you might see on the Arithmetic Reasoning section, but is also useful for anyone who has trouble with interpreting word problems in general. We will cover problems that deal with ratios, money and interest, quantities and more. You can apply the same three steps to solve them, but just with slightly different approaches.

@7:29 Why are you not showing your steps for solving 0.07 * 921 OR 0.04 * 329? Please show these steps in the future. The only reason I'm here. Everything else was easier for me. Just giving you a heads up. I know you're not doing that in your head but even if you are most here can't which is why they're here. Even the steps for adding totals should be part of the process I don't understand the point of not including that as they're critical to actually solving the problem without a calculator which is the entire point.

Good point! I didn’t even realize that calculators weren’t allowed on the ASVAB! I’ll keep it in mind if I do any other asvab videos

The problem is there is no calculator allowed. Takes too much time to add all the cents on a scrap piece of paper

You should show how to do them without the calculator since you can’t use a calculator on the ASVAB.

I don’t understand I took my ASVAB studied this same test and completely did terrible. Didn’t see any questions similar to this test unfortunately. Can you make a word fractions problems possibly?

I'm going to ask that you show us how you added those numbers for the first problem. Don't be lazy ma'am, in case you don't know we won't have a calculator when taking the test so level up please.
