Sometimes on forums and social networks and from my clients, I see interest in the topic: How to sow the lawn in the winter? Can this be done or not? If possible, how to do it right. In my practice, I have repeatedly had to sow the lawn in late autumn. In 90 percent of cases, such an undertaking was crowned with success, at least in the conditions of Ukraine. And yet there is a percentage of unsuccessful attempts and this should not be discounted, so if for some reason you decide to sow the lawn in the winter, then you must do it correctly, minimizing the chances of failure. Here are a few rules that will help you achieve success in winter sowing: 1) The slope of the sowing area should be no more than 3 degrees, in order to avoid erosion 2) During the winter period, machinery, animals and people should not be allowed to enter the sown surface, anything that can violate the integrity of the surface of the future lawn. 3) It is necessary to avoid falling leaves on the lawn; it is necessary to carefully remove the leaves. 4) When cleaning the paths from snow, try not to pile large snowdrifts locally, it is better to distribute the snow over the entire surface. 5) Low-lying areas are also not suitable for winter sowing, there is a chance of getting wet. 6) In the spring, it is imperative to roll the lawn with a roller.
