I think that two of the best things to do in Yangon, Myanmar are visiting the stunning Shwedagon Pagoda, a revered Buddhist site with its golden stupa dominating the skyline, and exploring the vibrant and bustling Bogyoke Aung San Market, known for its diverse range of traditional crafts, souvenirs, and local food.

Myanmar is a land chockfull of incredible pristine nature and scenery. The Shan State, home to the largest ethnic minority groups in Myanmar as well as the gorgeous Inle Lake, is a picture of hilly plateaus, mountains, waterfalls, rice fields, and vineyards. It is truly a wonderful sight!! 😍🥰😇

While Myanmar's beauty is undeniable, I strongly advise against visiting this country now. Unfortunately, Myanmar is currently under the control of a military regime that seized power through a coup three years ago. The situation is dire, with the military using funds, including Euros and US dollars, to purchase weapons from Russia and China, further oppressing the people of Myanmar. The military dictator, Min Aung Hlai, is known for his ruthless and oppressive tactics, posing a grave threat to democracy and the people of this nation. It's crucial not to support the military regime financially, as doing so indirectly contributes to the suffering of innocent Myanmar citizens.
