Bunratty Mead in County Clare also produce mead, and if I am correct, were producing it before Kinsale Mead was established.

@@chrisplusmelissa Ye absolutely should. It's around the corner from Bunratty Castle and Durty Nellys pub. If you are interested in póitin, the kind that does melt heads and knee caps, it sells that too.

Bunratty mead is a wine, sweetened, its not a mead which is fermented from honey not grapes.
