I'd say go for Omicrons. Thanks to PG I'll be unlocking most of these chars pretty much around same time. No way I'd have enough omicrons to cover for it. Another thing is shards I'll eventually get for free. And most of the time 2 extra shards per month won't make a difference for me since I would need 10 or 20 to unlock.

Also everyone should consider that the store is refreshing weekly. Though theoretically we could refresh every battle two times, it doesn't make sense to do so if not spending on pg shards. pg shards are expensive enough to never being able to have enough legend tokens, but you can only spend 1200 on omicrons per week. If you can use all 8 legends you get 2400 tokens per month. So with one refresh for all of the 8 legends you get the 4800 to get all the available omicrons. More precisely you can do 28 refreshes in 3 months for 7k crystals and get 26 omicron-mats. (Accounting for the extra week every 3 months) If CG doesn't change how we can use our rosters, end-game players at some point will only be able to get luxury omicrons and could then use the free attempts for signal data. There is also mid-game players that chased legends and don't have enough viable targets and are already stockpiling omicrons. For those i'm not sure if stockpiling omicrons even more is more optimal than getting signal data.

10 minute videos like this are especially valuable on smuggler run 2 days as i auto it in the background while watching. Good advice!

Great analysis. Few points, we get 2400 tokens for free each round (assuming 8 GLs), so its 8,000 crystals to top-up for an omi. However, you can only get 2 omis per shop cycle - which cycles every xx long days (5days??). Then there is a limit of 10k tokens, which might cause issues as you may have more tokens then the ability to use them all specifically for omis.

This is why you participate in Conquest if you can. If you can keep up, just go for omis, which is the most scarce material in the game.

Great analysis! I made up my mind before and confirmed after watching: Omicrons is main use for new store, IMO...and, I'm OK with that.

Kind of feels like the events another thing designed to bleed people who don't pay attention of crystals.

For me, it’s just going to be Omicrons. I already have almost every Conquest character, and the ones I can still farm (Ben, Trench, DTMG) don’t have much place in my roster (Fury-class is being farmed to be a nice defence without Leviathan) and I’m a mod slacker. All that Kyrotech and G12 pieces are tempting though…

This came at the perfect time for me. With the currency from the ultimate journey and proving grounds I’ll be able to get the last 25 Malgus shards so I can unlock him and the Leviathan.

If I have say 6 GL - then I could get Conquest toons from conquest itself. (I have 2 GL and able to get second last conquest crate with 70 shards) So those with more GL will get more tokens - but won't be needing PG shards. Those with 1 or 2 GL will need PG shards but won't have enough of legends tokens :) I think this store will be kind of emergency dip-in for kyrotechs and G12+ - for those with 1 or 2 GL

I only unlocked GL Rey recently, so i doubt i'll be able to do this event with a Non-Ultimate Relic 7 GL, But if i can, i'll happily spend it in getting Ben Solo for Rey with these currency. I suspect this event will be as difficult as Proving Grounds if not more. but we shall see Tomarrow. 🙂

Signal data is winner for me. i could always use more and relics are useful everywhere in the game unlike omicrons. also im not touching TW omicrons until they rework it to be enjoyable, and i have all the good gac ones ;)

The scarcity of G12 gear seems quite subjective and depends on where you are in the game. Personally I find G12 items to be my biggest bottleneck, together with Kyrotechs. It takes me roughly 2 weeks to get a character from G12 to G13, so any boost to that sounds beneficial to me.

Useful video, thanks calvin. If you have chance, could you explain how refreshing proving grounds itself is a better way to get extra character shards. Ive never done it before, as i rarely have 2200 crystals spare. I assumed refreshing this event would be better as it's only 250. Would i get fewer shards or something in ultimate journey? For me, Kyrotech would be the best to get since it is the most demanded piece. Battle computers just don't drop on the dark side node. Omicrons have limited benefits since they only work in certain game modes, so I just don't worry about them. They are also available in cantina as well as galactic challenges. PG shards are ok but since I'm already struggling to get the gear for my current characters, I would have to stop working on them to even benefit from the PG characters. I already have half of them anyways. Signal data can be purchased using conquest currency as well as earned from cantina so really not that hard to get.

For me the grey Signal Data is best, as near GL Leia unlock and lets me spend my Cantina energy on Green & Blue SD and finish Drogan shards

While Kyro's are no no in your spreadsheet I'm still going to buy them until I'm done with what is going on with my account now. In last month I spent 700 on SLKR, 500 on Leia reqs, I miss 500 more to start Leia event, then another 700 for Leia and my guild is unlocking Reva in just two more TB's. I have all the conquest chars unlocked and i have 10 omicrons saved (Whole omicrons - 200 shards). But after this I will be going after omis

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't an Omicron only cost One 250-crystal refresh? You already got 300 currency for the free attempt, and one refresh would get you the other 300 legend currency for an Omicron, right?

This is not a black and white store. More than any other store "where are you in the game and what do you currently need?" dictates purchases IMO from this store. It's a catch up mechanic for people behind on conquest characters, for those of us that don't need that, well I have yet to ever be lacking for omicrons since my roster doesn't develop as fast as someone who pays, so while I agree omicrons are a good value, kyro and G12+ will be where its at for me for the time being. If I ever need omicrons, sure, will grab, but not now.

Jw is this based on end game play only??!! Or i. General just whats good ??!! I ask cause everyone is at different spots in game and lack different items .... So say u might just omicron vause the value is good .. but what if my pieces i need different...and yes gear 12 so easy to get .. exactly always gonna be a bottle neck ... So wouldnt it be just better on your roster
