I love how at ease you are with the orchids. When I get ready to repot one I go over it in my head at least 5 or 6 times before I repot. Several years back I had about twelve orchids. Had some struggles in my life and lost about 8 of them. Now I have three and I’m kinda scared to repot them. I did one recently and it wasn’t looking so good for a while but it’s finally got new leaves. And they are hard, stiff leaves. They are phalaenopsis. Thus the leaf reference. That’s why I love how at ease you are repotting yours. Guess I’ll try again but I think I’ll wait for warmer weather. I reckon that my procrastination method. Thanx fir the videos. Your great!!

The roots get green with clear pots. Just like they live in the wild, the light hits the roots.

Great video i have been telling people not to attempt it as its to hard you will kill them both. I will send them your way now. In answer to the question. Orchids dont need clear pots but it helps us to see the roots so we know if they are healthy and if they need water. Silver needs water green needs leaving a few days more. 🌸

Is it better to use Fir or Pine bark in orchid and other plant mixtures? I've used both and heard a lot of different opinions. For example: how fast they break down, ph, moisure retention, etc.

I picked up two stunning 55$ orchids for 5$ on clearance in September, I’m shocked they’re still alive, I repotted with new media when I saw yellowing leaves, they’re doing perfectly now, blooms still on and all. I’m just wondering when I’ll screw it up and they die “mysteriously “ lol
