Am I able to split my monitor into two different monitors with powertoys? for example I wanna open youtube and hit on the full screen option and then see it only on the right half of my screen, and on the left half open a full screen computer game.

I am looking for something like say if I pin youtube in chrome in one panel and I hit full screen, I want it to stick within the frame that I defined and not blow out and use the entire monitor space. Basically I want the computer to consider the screens I split using this app as different monitors themselves. Please let me know if there are any apps that you know help us do it... hi! I'm using an LG 29WQ600 with Windows 11 and trying to physically split the monitor into 2 displays (so I can run fullscreen app on 60% and have documents in the remaining 40%). I can't seem to find the ability to physically 'carve up' the screen into 2.

How does this work with photoshop or any program that uses multiple tiny windows? They'd probably still be flying all around the screen while only the main windows is resized right? Is there a way to make windows think one monitor is two physical monitors? Like I could start an application in full screen mode and it would only apply the full screen to a set size?

I am also looking for something like this. The built-in Windows splitting just resizes program windows so two fit next to each other. What I want is to split my big physical screen into two smaller virtual screens, so I can have two fullscreen applications next to each other.

so i have one big vertical monitor and i want to permanently split it into two screens. how can i achieve that? I do not want it to be one screen but i want windows to see it as 2 screens stacked on each other. so that everytime i full screen a window, it doesnt open to the whole monitor but just that section where i open it.

If your monitor is able to display split screen from two sources, you can connect the monitor twice to your computer, like two hdmi connections. Under display settings, align the screens to be vertical to each other

Would be nice if once you have various windows in their respective zones that you could full-screen them in those zones without them actually using the entire monitor. I can’t find anyway of doing that as yet.

@@LoganSumrell I ended up getting the Samsung NEO Odysee 49” curved monitor. I hook up my ASUS ROG laptop and a Dell T5810 high performance workstation to it at the same time and choose the Picture-in-Picture mode and it gives each computer half of the screen each. Then when I put them both in full-screen mode it’s perfectly seamless and you can’t tell it’s two computers. Then I use a very good Logi Keyboard and mouse with Flow settings so they can go from one computer to the other without changing anything. Works great for studying or whatever else you need good performance and multiple things going on.

This is a "snap" tool not virtual desktop to be clear. You cannot go full screen on a browser in any of these windows.

dude if you make this video which i haven't seen yet and i can run an app in one area and the instruction from the internet without it crunching stuf into the side of the screen then you won't have to answer anyone. you just be the one that did it right. every to mod a video and have to read instruction while finding the place to put it. i once hit a button and had to wipe my hard drive to get my computer to work again. it took 7 hours. i myself am trying to use game maker and read the tutorials at the same time and already had to remove and reload it. it froze and not a single tutorial worked anyway say hi to larry or jawed for me. they will know.
