15 years ago this game would have had a local co op option. These days it’s very obvious how greedy everyone is because now they force online multiplayer which means they can sell more games. We have to buy one game each to play together. Growing up as a kid with mates round playing video games and having fun was great. Now it’s all about staying in our separate houses. Bring back local co op!

Ark Survival Ascended only allows co-op like this but with a tether because it's too much to let both players go different directions. @@VaMage

Okay why are yall complaining about split screen not being a thing. I hate split screen personally. Sure it would be nice to play the game with a friend or family member on the same console but i dont think you know how hard that would make gathering exquisite materials and hitting vital points.

For me, personally, it’s about playing games with my wife. I’d have to assume you’re not married or don’t live with someone that likes to play games alongside you. I think all gamer couples have a soft spot for these types of games (like It Takes Two and others). Of course, playing solo has a bigger screen and better graphics with the right screen size, but it’s about enjoying the game with someone else you want to spend time with.

I believe they could of made it possible to play two person on the same system if they wanted to as I know some games has it where you can play two players without a split screen no idea why they couldn't do that with Avatar frontier Pandora.

Co op is fun but it shows quests you've already completed on your own for your partner if they haven't completed them and it just ends up leaving your quests looking like a mess of a billions quests, half you already completed on your own

@@ConCon Figured out if you're on someone else's server it'll show their quests but if they're on yours then it'll show yours. Got it sorted out now

Is this a potential solution for certain game breaking bugs such as the one where you go to the facility to the north of cloud forest, where the RDA shoots you through walls and such?

co op does need work though. can't loot the same stuff. loot is available to only one person. they should allow each person to get their own loot. took a while fighting a stormglider, and my friend couldn't get anything after I gathered it , except for what I shared. Definitely should have aspects that are only linked to our own world while simultaneously helping out friends in a shared world.

How about when the friend doesn’t show up on the friend list. And when I do see a friend when they show up I do send an invite and they’re unable to join. The coop has not worked on Xbox since launch. Been unable to send invites or receive them

Can I please ask - I have this game but a friend of mine is undecided. I know you need to play 3 hours before unlocking co-op but once on is co-op good? If you always play on the same game no problems on cross progression? Very strange to wait 3 hours but trying to convince my friend :)

It will only show the host player's quests (so if you did it already and they are hosting, you will do it again)

Well for some reason both me and my cousin are playing the game and doesn't show he's on when we were playing co op all night lastnight. Far cry did this same shit back when we used to play and wouldn't shoe any friend online at all.

I had to go in the game and he had to close the game and go to where u see all your games and below when u move ur cursor over to avatar it shows trophy and all that and gives him option to join my game that way finally. I think it's ubisoft.

I have played co op with buying one copy and one ps plus and allow them to sign into my acocunt and could play it at the same time bith under my account but this game wont let me. I cant get it to work..

Try having your friend make you the primary user on his ps5 in order for the game share to work and you can play under your account while he plays under his

I just got two ps plus and it worked all night now today it refuses to show that he's online or that I'm online. On both of our screens it says noone is on yet were both playing.
