I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use kzfaq.infoUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.

Thank you actually explaining what you were doing. Every time anyone has "shown" me they offer no explanation and apparently think that clueless people already know what the choke is, or the even the throttle. In this video when you initially mentioned the throttle, I had no idea what it was not that you were squeezing it until you repeated it with a hand gesture. I know this is a simple process, but not to the ignorant!

Perfect bro! One pull on choke then one pull to start on half choke. Started easy. I was pulling like crazy for twenty minutes before that.

This is correct procedure. When you buy from an actual lawnmower dealer, they show you before you leave. I have an Echo and most times starts in 3 pulls; sometimes 2. I press the bulb 7 times to achieve this. If around 5 presses, will start in 4-5 pulls. Echo machinery is brilliant.

Where have you been on my "To watch list"? Several years ago, I struggled with one weed eater for days and finally went and bought a new one. Now this new one (Echo) has finally started giving me the same trouble. I followed your instructions and after finding the sweet spot somewhere just before half way between start and run it started on the third pull. I know many will be thankful for your information. I tried it, perfect !!!! If it didn't start on the first couple of pulls, I would end up pulling and pulling, flooding it out, cleaning the spark plug, then cursing until it started again. Great job, outstanding, kudos !!!!!

Thank you! I have three broken lawn mowers & I haven't used my weed trimmer in over a year, so I forgot what to do. I'm a single mom. I can sharpen my chainsaw blades, fix the washing machine, dishwasher, etc. but I'm not that great w/ these things & my neighbor isn't home. Thanks again! I have three acres to trim & the weeds are beyond obnoxious! It's hard to find green tennis balls in the jungle of weeds after I play w/ my dogs. You're the best! Loved your no nonsense video. Oh shit. If you were running it with straight gas and had it run for a bit then stop working, then I'm pretty sure the engine either is locked up, or has severly worn piston rings and/or scoring, and has lost compression. A tip i have is ALWAYS use 32:1 mixture. EVEN if it says to use something like 40:1 or 50:1. Still, use 32:1. Running 32:1 will ensure that the piston rings are well oiled and preserved. Your engine will last much longer. It's cheaper to replace a fouled spark plug than it is to replace a whole engine.

I thought everyone knew this. But good video straight to the point. I use my trimmer all the time but pretty much works for a trimmer that starts all the time too. Just press the bubble until it fuel is being pushed in and I pull the string twice on cold, It splutters a bit then move it to fully open and 2 more pulls it starts straight away and it’s just a cheap one that since I have been starting like that hasn’t failed me yet.

Speed to 3:20seconds for the real tip, and guess what? IT WORKS!!!! IT REALLY WORKS!! I was about to return my second unit, which did not work even with starting fluid (crazy) putting the slider halfway after the first pulle did exactly what you said, it started it!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Ok i see what you are saying and my troy built usely starts like that then it stopped like it ran out of gas all the line are new and new bulb and plug fireing so bought new carburator so how do you set it on the Low side and high side so it will start so it can be adjusted to run right any thoughts ??

Thank you! Just tried this method on my Echo leaf blower pb-250ln and it started after a few minutes, after refusing to start. Tried with an old Poulan chainsaw, and no luck. Carburetor must be too dirty.
