So much great advice! Question: if I am starting out small like real real small after hours and weekends only. Would a small apartment size refrigerator be ok to keep flowers cool?

I think that would work. You would have to purchase flowers daily, or have a small selection of arrangements that you can store in refrigerator for sale.

I’m not very sure. I live in California we don’t have basements. As long as you can keep it below 60° you should be fine.

I purchased a bush Commercial refrigerator 15 years ago and it still works great after being moved three or four times. Even though it’s a little bit more, they are amazing.

Hi! Thank you for the video with valuable information! As a florist I have couple of questions? Is Floranext similar to the Teleflora, FTD, and 1800Flowers wire service platforms? In other words, does Floranext send orders to florists? Or does it only provide the software and we have to do marketing by our own to get orders?

Floralnext is not a wiring service. They just basically provide you with the website and the recipes for arrangements. You have to do the marketing. I have not heard good things about Teleflora FTD, & 1 800 flowers or wire services period. I said I was going to probably do a review on them and see how they actually work. I heard that because they take such a big profit, you don’t make any money.

Hi There, I absolutely 100% agree with you. I had worked with all 3 companies before when I had my actual shop and didn't make a profit. They are the ones who earned from us. My concern is how do I get orders when I do my floral business from home. Any advice, please! Thank you for your response!

I would keep my selection of arrangements small until you get the hang of it. Most of the drivers were there in 15 minutes and I was trying to create my arrangements even though it only takes about 15 minutes to make. But I would make one of each in the morning to have them ready. Stick with four selections to start then when you get the hang of it add more to your menu. Don’t let the sales rep tell you to add a bunch of selections. Good luck and let me know how it goes, send me an email. Once I move to my new office I’m a start back up.

You should check with your local and state rules. They are all different when it comes to operating out of your home.
