Absolutely LOVE this Lily! I definitely need to start scrapbooking, I always keep things to remember them, and throw them into a box (and never print out any photos). Will be looking into this for sure :) p.s. Your scrapbook is insanely well laid out & very pleasing on the eyes. haha well done xxx

I think you did an amazing job with the scrapbook. I remember when I was little I stuck all my favourite pictures, from newspaper articles, to greeting card cutouts, to temporary tattoos I found in bubble gum wrappers and of course pictures. I was 8 or 9 years old and I didn't even know what scrapbooking was and I was still doing it. That was the only time I did and then I stopped, and I don't know why. Watching this video made me want to start doing it all over again. :) Also, I really love it when memories are kept in hard copy and I think this is a fantastic way to store them. I don't think so we can get this exact ones here but we do have really nice "photo albums" which are quite similar to this.

It's really funny that you mention this is more an "American" activity. I'm from America and I never realized this wasn't exactly popular in other places! This video has inspired me to want to take more pictures in the new year and capture some memories on film! Your pages are absolutely beautiful!!!

I'm 48 and have done many very decorative type scrapbooks. Project Life looks a great way to achieve a minimalist, stylish, quick and easy memory of your year. I no longer scrapbook but your vid is very inspiring Lily :)

I loved finding out that you scrapbook too! I have been doing two since last year and I'm so glad that it isn't just me - I felt like such a granny! Thanks for this, Lily! Right after watching your December favorites, I immediately went to the shops and bought Project Life albums and kits. I am now scrapbooking my entire 2014 and it's been great so far--reminiscing the best memories of the year. I will now scrapbook my 2015 as it goes along. Our lives have been too 'digitized'--and that's not necessarily bad--but having the photos printed out physically really makes a difference. Thanks for sharing this with us!! :)

I did a scrapbook of the year I lived in the US (a very simple one), and wanted to do more ever since, but never had the "time". I loved yours and, although it inspired me to make a new one, I believe it will have to wait for a bit, so I can save the money and have the space necessary for all the stuff it comes with. Anyway, thank you so much for sharing this! I can't wait to try one day!

I document so much of my life on my blog & KZfaq, I'm an artsy person but I never ever thought to document it in physical form. I've even gone and ordered some photos to be printed. Thanks for the inspiration Lily xx

Love your scrapbook & nothing like print and making a big effort. Love. All the special touches, layout & things like cut out from menu or tickets. I was just thinking today that I need to take more photos & take more time to document things I do so that I can look back on memories. Time goes by so fast I can hardly remember what happened last week. I'm planning a big trip to Canada & US so will definitely be scrap booking & documenting that.

Absolutely love your scrapbook! I did one when I lived in the states in 2006-2007 but haven't since because here at home in Iceland it is soooo expensive to get photos developed so I only do like a few that get framed. But I have browsing for online sites abroad that can develop them and ship to me and also been in quite the dilemma on how I want the album to be and yours was a great inspiration so thank you for that!

Yayyy, I loved this video as I'm a fellow scrapbook-er hahaha! I started my scrapbook in 2013 with a bunch of random days i had photos for! I use a brown paper one from Paperchase because I love decorating it sooo much and find it really fun and therapeutic but I love seeing ideas from the Project Life style scrapbooks!

This is so stunning! I'm starting a diary/scrapbook so it's slightly different to yours here but honestly one year I will definitely find the time to expand into something like yours. It's so so lovely how passionate you are about recording your life and your family, and your photos really are beautiful. Great video Lily! Project life is great for scrapbooking! There are actually loads and loads of people in the UK who are scrapbookers and crafters. I am one myself and have been scrapbooking for many, many years. I can understand that at beginning it seems 'embarrassing' to tell people about it, but I find that people only wish they'd started one as well! And it is a great hobby, so I hope that you continue to document your memories and adventures through 2015. I shall be doing the same like yourself through 2015, like I did in 2014! :)

I started a scrapbook in august 2014 using a K&company Smashbook. I love it. When the book I'm using is finished I'm definitely going to head to my nearest Hobbycraft and doing a little scrapbook spree - including a project life book and inserts etc. Thanks for the re-kick-start. Lovely video, Lily and happy new year( I hope it is not too late to say it :p)! I think scrapbooking is a very individual thing to do and there are no rights or wrongs. People just have to get rid of the idea that are "rules" to everything and then everyone will end up with a lovely scrapbook to look back on. I absolutely agree with you that no one prints photos out anymore but everyone has tons of them on the laptop where they are hardly ever looked at. A scrapbook is a great opportunity to have real pictures again, which I think are so much more precious. I just binge watched most of your Vlogmas videos and I am so sad it is over, you are lovely! LOVE this!! Starting one of my own this months and I'm really really excited! Yours is so nice! It's such a great idea and I completely agree that people just don't print out photos anymore and it's such a shame. Me and my mom went through her old photos the other day and had so much fun looking back on how the life used to be and she remembered so many things just looking at the photos. Can't wait to look back into my scrapbook in a couple of years and remember all the stuff I did and all the lovely memories I made. P.S. your nephews and niece are insanely cute! :) xx

I've wanted to start Project Life for the longest time and I actually already had a huge collection of the little cards (I use them for other crafty things) but this year I am starting it!! :) it's a bit overwhelming at first and I totally agree, there's barely any BASIC videos for starting Project Life on youtube! They all made me so confused haha. I would love to see more about your scrapbook in the future.

You shouldn't be embarassed by having a scrapbook, we don't do them in Poland either, but I would do it and if it looked as good as yours, I would be equally proud. The video actually made me want to make a scrapbook of mine, but the thing is I don't have that many things to document and put there. Love this so much! I used some of my Christmas money and bought a kit for myself on Amazon. They have so many different styles for the card inserts, but I really love how you make it unique to you and made it creative. You definitely accomplished that creatively goal for 2014! For printing instagram photos, I've used Foxgram before and really loved that. You do have to wait for them to ship them to you, but they're cheap to print, and you can link it to your account so you just pick them from your account and move from there. I love Project Life and make videos sharing my layouts. I have been making these albums for years and they are a fantastic way to capture memories and stories. Hey Lily! Love your scrapbook!! I've always wanted to do a scrapbook but never have because of how serious and complicated they seem to be. (It is very popular here in the US but also always look very daunting!) You've made it look fun, it does look like a lot of hardwork, but not so stressful. And you're so creative!!! ooh like this! i've done a sketchbook scrapbook for my past 2 holidays that i really love and only ever really document things throughout the year in writing. love this style of scrapbooking so think i might look into it, although definitely not gonna do as many cool things aha. but i love the postcards paperchase have but never had a use for them, now i do woo

Confession: I totally ordered scrapbook materials immediately after your December favorites video. ^_^ What I love about A Beautiful Mess is they modernize a lot of crafts (it's all about your being true to your aesthetic you know?) and inspired me to make some things I would have otherwise shied away from. Loved the video! I have a fauxdori like a midori that I absolutely love. The decorating and putting in photos and documenting that day or occasion is almost therapeutic for me! So glad you shared this. I got some new inspiration from this video :)

Omg Lilly this is Incredible!! Iv spent the year working at Disneyland Paris and I have so many amazing memories so deffinatly going to spend the time working on something like this :) you should be really proud of what you have achieved xxxxxx
