I’m a 14 day filmmaker student and I love their content and the course is good. My only critique is that doing work for free to gain a testimonial is ok, but there is a better way in 2024 that works even better.

I NEEDED this today. I recently started my own business and got three clients in different areas of videography (YT channels, promo videos, and interviews) and am close to getting a fourth client doing music videos. This video was SO encouraging to watch and I am almost in tears to know that I. CAN. SUCCEED. at this. I bought 14 day filmmaker a few months ago but I'm just now stepping into the decision to just freakin' just DO THE CLASS and perfect the skills I already have and become a fire videographer. Thank you for always encouraging us to keep going and for always handing us the tools to succeed!! LOVE your content!!!

Short question please. What equipment do you use for audio recording (seperately from the camera)? Im just a beginner. I bought a Lav L14 external micro but laptop and smartphone does not recognize the micro. And I didnt check yet, would the camera have also the possibility to add external micro. Im a beginner 😊. What should I be charging starting out for real estate with some drone work included. I’ve been practicing filming myself in my boat but my sisters father in law has asked if I would do some drone work for his houses.

There is no perfect amount to charge when you're getting started. What would make you feel fulfilled? For me getting started I WANTED to charge $1000+ per video, but at the end of the day I still felt fulfilled charging 100-500 per job. As time went on as I kept charging that amount I felt very unfulfilled and like I was doing myself a disservice charging so low, so I raised my prices.
