I just watched with my 4 month old son. I don't think he understands much, but he was more fascinated watching this than watching baby shows haha. I loved hearing you explain what you're thinking as you work. I know a lot of work goes into content like this. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Martin, been trying to follow along with some of your fantastic drawings. I am slowly learning a lot from your excellent slow teachings. I am interested in learning from some of these longer video lessons. Do you have the full length copy of this video (complete) and slowed down to normal in all parts of the video lesson. I would love to give this a go from start to finish, if possible. Thanks for all you do on this channel.

Hi, thank you for your feedback! A “draw with me” tutorial without any speed up will be uploaded this month! Greetings from Austria, Martin

I love this simplified elevation style. I’m on a medieval town elevation study, and your technique is inspiring me in the best way possible! I can see how I can simplify my lines with the nibs, and ink. How you paint along the way and not all at the end never occurred to me. Thank you for sharing your process.

Thanks so much for sharing your process, absolutely love your work and may have a little go at this. I did do your farmhouse workshop the other day and while it might not look like yours, it did look good! I learnt a lot about using my dip pen and not overworking my paintings.

Even though it is a pen drawing, the volume is excellent. The fact that all the buildings face the same side is also unique and gives a strangely warm feeling.

Thank you for sharing yet another amazing and inspiring process video. I notice your camera focus is jumping back and forth between the drawing and on your hand. If you want the focus to stay on the same distance throughout the recording, you could disable the auto-focus function on your camera.

Again a great Tutorial. Would you consider doing a video on how to sketch and watercolour a forest. That would be fabulous.

Martin, do you ever do in person tutorials in cities at hotels or something like that?
@MartinLachmairArt9 ай бұрын
Hi Russel, thanks for that question, but not yet. But I plan, in a first step, some online live sessions in YT, and maybe one day on-site events.

Why do you detach the paper from the pad before you use it, Martin? It comes in a pad so that it stays flat when wet. Perhaps your work is not that wet? 🤷🏼♀️
@MartinLachmairArt9 ай бұрын
Hi! Thank you for your question! But in this case the paper is still on the pad (glued on 4 sides). In other cases I use paper that comes in individual sheets, most of the I don’t stretch or tape because, like you mentioned, I use not that much water. 🖋️
