I`m new to the forex market. Every stocks that I bought so far, I was out of luck because I bought them when they were expensive. I feel I missed out on all the opportunities so far. Hey there, I have been trading for about a few months now and just about every trade slaps me in my face. Nearly impossible for me to catch more than a few points . I try to do top down analysis and MTF analysis, but it doesn't work for me . I say to myself, clearly I'm in the 90% that lose money, so I open a demo account, do my analysis, then take the opposite of what I would normally take(I know, it sounds stupid but I was desperate) and get the same result. Exactly, the common experience by traders especially newbies is fear of losing money I passed through all this routes in trading. Honestly demo and paper account seems so easy but money loses and wins not seems like it is in demo account when using real account with real money on it I understand that frustration. When deciding on position size to trade does the percentage of leverage used affect it ?

I think leverage affects how big the trade can be. So a 1:500 means for every $1 of your own funds, you can take up a position worht $500 so in turn you can make more money/profit. But it does result in higher risk too as you could lose a lot of money quickly so you'll have to be very positive on the trade you take so it goes your way.

Question. If I leave my open trade open do I lose everything in a losing trade. Or only lose until sell. Does my open trade stay open until I close or can I be closed out by the exchange. Regardless in a winning or losing trade. Or does it stay open until I close it out myself

Market closes on Saturday and opens on Monday so your trade will close atomically regardless will or lose every week

Its just a DEMO ACCOUNT already funded with NOT REAL 5k(or your choosing from the dropdown list). SO basically you are practicing in REAL TIME in the REAL MARKET without REAL MONEY. If you find yourself good at this, and you can for example double or triple that 5k(not real money) in weeks or months by trading forex, you can go, find your broker in your country, register an account, they ask for a minimum deposit(not all of them, and if you curious it is around 250 USD or EUR or whatever currency you got in your Country), then you can add that account to Meta Trader 5 and you can start your jounrey with REAL MONEY. As simple as this.

When using leverage to trade with a funded account, if you lose a trade, do you lose only the amount you used to get the leverage, or will you be required to pay extra? For example, if you have a $5,000 funded account, and you lose $1,000 in a trade, with a $100 deposit to get the account funded, what happens to the amount lost in the trade?

With Roth IRA, the money you are contributing has already been taxed. At any time for any reason, you can withdraw your contributions tax-free and penalty-free. Additionally, any earnings on investments can also be withdrawn tax-free and penalty-free, Not sure how much to contribute, I'm still at a crossroads deciding if to liquidate my $338k stock portfolio.

I understand how you feel, well is not luck is all about having good investment plans, watching professional trading videos and most especially connecting with the right person the digital world is full of in unreal people I met some of them during my success journey. I felt same way when I started especially when you use demo account you might be winning but when you put in real money you start losing I understand and I pass through it all. I'm very happy I'm profitable now.
