I just replaced the battery in my 2015 CX-5 Grand Touring Key Fob & now the fob doesn't work. Have tried 3 new batteries & old battery. None of them work.

When you put the key fob next to the push to start button, does the car start? if no, you have an issue with the coding. If the car does start, you have a problem with the battery. Hope this helps :)

@@lostcarkeysreplacement I ordered a 4 pack of Amazon Basics CR 2032 batteries for $4.30 that arrived the next morning. As suggested on another forum the slot is a hair too big for the CR 2025 battery and it wasn't making contact with the power connectors. As soon as the CR 2032 was installed, my fob began working perfectly once again.

Thank you for the video because I have so many things going on now two fobs not working one brand new battery was fine for a week ant that’s it if you can please respond so as long as you have the key in the fob it will work like that?

Hi. It usually happens when the battery is weak or if you replaced the battery and it still having issues it may be a problem with the chip inside the key fob That's why you have to put it next to the ignition button, because the chip reader is located there. Hope this helps :)
