Is your new water pump motor not pumping out water? Well I had the same experience but later found out the solution after going through the manual. So here's how I did it. Let me know if it solve your problem in the comment section.

You can pour water into a hole provided by unscrewing the nut. Manufacturer provides it by default for most of the motors. You need not pour water either from suction pipe or head pipe. Hopefully it helps some one.

Inbuilt non return valve to be removed if used for sump or open well. To be retained if attached directly to municipal supply.

Remove the valve and check again. May be you inserted the valve mouth wrongly ! Use valve there's more pressure with it.!

Muhje dushra ka brand toh pata nehi hai lekin yewa la brand crompton may toh sound bahut cum hai. May ish motor ek saal used karchuki hu aur abhitak motor acha se pump kar raha hai. Sorry I don't speak hindi that well. I hope you can understand me. :)

Ok I'm not an expert either but if it didn't work after pouring water the way I show you here, may be your water pump is a company defect.

Also if your well or water source is too deep. 0.5hp pump won't have enough air pressure to draw out water. Hope your water source is not so below your motor.
