Foundations on why and what do you need to start migrating to a DDD architecture
I'm an engineer on biotechnology that did a turn in the lab carrier to follow my instincts and get in to the software industry. Even in the university I was always the teacher assistant in the IT engineering program, but my love for the biotechnology was bigger in that time. After I graduate I realize that the only places where I was able to work were in labs, and always using very old software programs, so I become a developer (after a few hard study sessions) and I'm planing in the near future, join or start a company that mixes biotech and software. I love to do software and I love to be an engineer on biotechnology an a woman in tech and that diversity can relate in software.

Nice high level presentation with some good ideas 💪 I would just suggest to think about the slide "Our Goal Architecture" (1:30) and "What is a monolithic application" (1:58). The modular monolith is presented with one DB where this could be the case it is not the goal of it. The slides are showing only decomposition of the code where side by side with the code the DB may and should be decomposed as well like in microservices. If the modular monolith is using CQRS than we may even have dedicated DBs for write and read. Modular monolith is not only code improvement but DB as well.

the more i watch ddd stuff the more i get convinced it's another attempt to re-invent the wheel by people who desperately want to keep their management positions no matter what. lots of buzz words (think ddd) and no any usable content for real life projects. if you try to think through all that mud crud is the ultimate ddd aggregate.
