On occasion, my miss is usually this hook off the tee. I'm trying to give it such a good whack that I stay behind it too much, instead of reminding myself to slow it down and actually get through the ball. This may happen once a round here and there, sometimes not. Great advice my friend.

I also think that all the driver emphasis of striking 'up' on the ball is part of the mental cause of staying behind the ball too much.

Seen probably 100 of driving video, but i’ve found the best fundamental tip in this video. The driver has to return to the hands, not hit the ball past the hands because then you need to have a wide open clubface, or otherwise snaphook. Grrreat insight.

Sweet instruction my question is being a previous low handicap and having a draw biased swing and now am hitting the high wiper block and the low skid hook I’ve moved to a slightly shorter driver shaft with my sim 2 max and am crestfallen. I know practice is the answer but could you elaborate sometime in a video call it post Covid return lol

Interesting, I believe I’m falling back due to my tendency to attempt hitting the ball up in the air but what I may really be causing is the fairly regular duck hook.

I’m doing this at the minute. But it’s to counter act me coming over the top and pull hooking it, so I’m struggling with both. When I got fitted for my SIM’s the fitter set my driver and 3 wood 2 degrees upright and the weight in neutral still the try and level the head up at impact, does this sound correct Trottie? Keep up the good work, love the content 👍

Good explanation. Pretty much exactly what i feel like im doing. Always been a draw player but over time its gone left and then way left of left. Is there a good drill to get weight slid foward more? What causes the feeling of weight getting locked behind the ball on the right side?
@trottiegolf
@trottiegolf Жыл бұрын
Being steep causes that. Pause at the top & start downswing with lower body, that's your start point.

When you're a real hooker like me, then exiting left does absolutely nothing because my clubface is always closed. In fact, exiting left only makes the ball start left before hooking even further left. I can't stop the clubface from closing down, I've been doing it for years, and I don't know how to stop it.
