Many christian’s do not return to church because they are offended. Sometimes the person standing in the pulpit should be careful what they speak. Church is for the broken heart. Broken soul. Not for judging people because their weakness.

Holy Spirit have your way. Make us lovers of others. If we are hurt and offended let us take that offence to you and leave it at the cross. Thank you for loving us so much that we can do that. So that we can keep loving each other. Amen

I so wish I knew this 20+ years ago. I have lots of unforgiveness and have taken lots of offense over the last 2 decades. I noticed too late that my heart got hard and grew cold. I had been very immature in my faith and not in my Bible until recently. Now I'm having to do the very difficult work of getting myself right with God and others. This is one of the hardest things I've had to deal with.

We are to work out relationships with one another. Offense is real. And needs to be resolved with empathic communication and prayer. And taking responsibility for our part. Can't just sweep it under the rug and pretend all is well.

Feelings, emotion, understanding the most unreliable untrustworthy thing's for me to be mastered by. Can be useful for compassion, empathy, sympathy for others. For being transparent, authentic and sincere. When we are mastering them. I don't allow other's to have the Power and authority to dictate where I am at. That belongs to Christ Jesus and his word. Being offended..Seeing offence I would be considering myself something entitled.. when the truth is I am nothing apart from Gods Grace❤

Is "Offended" the right translation for that word in Matt 24:10-12? I'm not a Bible scholar, but most other translations use either "stumble, fall away, be betrayed". That changes the meaning of that verse quite a bit.

He gets OFFENDED by his audience! (He doesn't hear enough Amens, says "I dont know if you're hearing this today, etc) He is seeking to be coddled by their praises Don't get me wrong, he has a great message. But he really should be hearing the message himself and not get offended. Unless that's just him proving his point! That we all get offended. .

With all due respect, maybe it's about things not always being a joke, maybe you don't need to learn how to take a joke. Maybe the people that are around you tell bad jokes and use you as the punch line with all the respect when someone who doesn't get offended starts to get offended, we all have to ask ourselves. Are we living right? A good joke is going to bring life into someone's existence. Just like a good sermon. And if a joke is made that makes somebody feel outcasted humiliatedid embarrassed, it's not breathing life into them, and that's the comedian's job is to tell a good joke, but we're not all comedians, and we shouldn't have to hang out with people who use us. As a brunt of the joke because the minute we turn around and start making a joke about them. Lord knows the spirit of offense is alive and well. It just seems like some people are allowed. To dish it out and do all the joking. While other people have to just eat it and take it .. with all due respect

Gen X- no race, country or family member is immune. Sarcasm is our briar patch. A vocalized ‘offense’ is a weakness to be used against said ‘offended’, by laughter, ridicule or firing. Overuse terminology and opinions we could care less about only entrap the weak.
