Important note for anyone here- don't kill butterflies just to put them in resin.

God no!! That would be disgusting, imo. I personally wouldn’t buy anything with real insects in them as well, unless i absolutely know the seller has not killed them. 🥺

I use bees in my projects but I source them from a beekeeper who "harvests" them when the colony dies at the end of the season. They never intentionally kill their bees to sell them. @@LittleKikuyu

Hi Sheri, I need some advice, I brought some just resin & it’s really awful, I have never had any trouble when using glass coat but it’s expensive. Can you recommend a good resin that’s not too expensive. By the way I find your videos really helpful thank you.

I haven’t tried that. I do find that modpog can yellow over time

Have you tried modge podge spray to seal them? Does it work?

I’ve never used it but happy to give it ago and test it out. I’ve have used the original modpod before and found it yellow really bad

I thought has she got butterflies covered in modpodge? Or printed onto acetate? They look like normal paper has she not protected them? Then to my horror I realised halfway through she’s using REAL butterflies? And you found two dead butterflies together? Same colours & no folded wings? that’s highly unusual & not very likely 😢 love your videos normally Sheri but defo NOT this one unfortunately I ended up cutting it off as soon as you cut its wings off, dissecting it from its little body 😢

How so? If they're already dead what's the issue? There are lots of insect farms that wait for the insects to die naturally and sell the bodies because of the increased interest. It's also not that hard to find dead insects in nature
