I must have missed something, I didn’t see how to stop pulling. I heard what can be used and using rewards. 😞

This video was super frustrating. Was hoping to learn how to train not to pull but instead got 15 minutes of “you should train your husky not to pull”

I have signed up to the boot camp and listened and taken it all in and understand what we need to do to a certain extent. I have 2 dogs that need training a Husky Cross and a Lab. I like your videos hence me signing up for the boot camp but I am so unsure how to deal with the training for 2 dogs. Also, I can get my Husky to heel in the house with high value treats initially and he understands heel as to come back to my side and face forward and I can do it outside the front of my house to a certain extent but to actually be able to give him any significant exercise without him pulling me off my feet is impossible so how do I address this and train this heel giving him the exercise he needs? I thought about maybe using his harness for running for the 'walk' time so he can pull (not that I enjoy it but don't know how to give him the exercise otherwise!) and then using the training sessions as a collar time so he knows when the collar is on he shouldn't pull? He has no recall when we are out at the moment so letting him off the lead is out of the question. Please can I get some support as I don't want to fail at this. I think my lab will be easier as we have only had him a few months. Both are rescue dogs. Please help me become the leader I so want to be to my dogs!

Love the video I have two Huskies and I been really trying my best to train them. It’s the pulling that I can’t seem to get. Is there like a second part of the video showing us how to stop this behavior.

Hey Tyreek, thanks for watching! We have a number of videos over on our main training channel, Fenrir Canine Training, show how to deal with this behaviour with demonstrations. But here is one you might find helpful: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/erthft1os73Wh5c.html

Is it possible to train a husky to run with a bicycle?

I love how there’s countless videos on trying to get a husky to stop pulling even though that’s pretty much what they were bred for but not one video onto show how to get them to continue pulling if anybody knows how please let me know because apparently having a dog do what it was bred for, is the worst thing to happen to you guys

What's the best brand of prong collar I can buy on Amazon for my husky?
@jeffreyjbyron
@jeffreyjbyron 3 жыл бұрын
Is the prong collar meant to be a permanent solution? Or can my husky be trained to heel with it and switch to a flat collar or harness? I live in California where many pet owners think they are inhumane (or it signals that my dog is dangerous) so I don't like to use it all the time. However, my dog has a very strong prey drive and pulls a lot. He can heel with the prong collar, but when I switch back he immediately starts pulling again. My husky is a 3 year old rescue, I have been trying to train him, everyday, for 3 weeks. I will spend all year if I have to! Thanks for the great channel!

Any progress?

@@JR-cooru 2 things: he doesn't pull on familiar walks anymore. When we go somewhere new, that's a different story. But it's helped us to earn each other to walk a lot. I'm able to predict what he wants, and he knows what he can and can't get. So time and lots of walks helped. I started using a "no-pull" harness which has a martingale on his chest. So when he does lunge, it spins him around to face me. This teaches him that pulling on the leash doesn't work. He still will try, his instinct is to lunge at animals and other dogs and I don't know how to stop that, or if I can. But it makes our time together better. Last thing is that I train him EVERY mealtime to sit, down, heel, place, or any other commands I'm working on. I train him with about half his food and give him the rest in a bowl. I'm not sure if this is working, but he does know the commands. Doesn't always folow them on a walk.
