I watched one of your other videos, wondered how to straighten the wire, Googled it and was taken to this one! Your instructions are very clear and concise. Looking forward to getting into this fascinating hobby. Cheers

I use a similar technique to straighten my steel wire. Some of the low gauge breaks... I need to try reversing direction. Thanks!

WOW … AMAZING TIP .. I WAS SUFFERING 😅… HOW ASBOUT THE THICKER WIRE ? 3MM THICKNESS … WILLL IT WORK
@CopperGravity3 ай бұрын
Maybe. I’ve only tried copper wires up to 2mm.
@TheBradinator21411 ай бұрын
But will it work for heavier guage wire?
@CopperGravity11 ай бұрын
Hi. I’m sure it’ll work to some extent in getting bigger wire to be straightened. There are commercial wire machines that will do a better job all round. This is a easy solution that may be a good place to start.

How with braided jacketed wire?
@CopperGravity Жыл бұрын
Would probably work just as well, but be careful with the amount of twist and pull.

What type of wire is that? How would i search for it online?
@CopperGravity Жыл бұрын
I use simple standard copper wire. Not plated. Just copper wire.

@@CopperGravity what guage if i may ask?
@CopperGravity Жыл бұрын
I use a mixture of 14 and 16 AWG. 1.6mm and 2.0mm.

What is the theory of doing that?
@CopperGravity11 ай бұрын
It’s a useful way of getting bent or curved wire to be straight.

@@CopperGravity it will be a little deformed on shaping compare to its started shape, i understand, its a very simple way, thanks.
