well i find plugging the glasses direct to the phone and play netflix is easier :) without the beam... i personally sometimes find the beam a bit useless :P

This usecase is for when you need to have the beam connected to a charger or you simply want to watch content from platforms like Netflix or Hulu wirelessly.

If you don't really mind the body anchor and smooth follow stuff, it's easier to just plug the glasses into your phone, especially with Samsung Dex. 😊 The best thing ever would be if/when they release apps you can download. Like, - opening Netflix and streaming without needing a phone or PC, just like the Virtual Neckband or Roku Rokid Station!

I gotta samsung a14 downoad yocast u can screen cast from that app but it doesnt let you use the glasses too the fullest but you will be able to watch wat u want

I love body anchor mode from XBeam, but I hate watch Netflix with HD 1080x720. Can wired make better resolution?

I would think so, but i'm not sure. I do know that playing Netflix on Microsoft edge instead of chrome gives you a better resolution.

honestly, do i really need beam for my glasses? is it really necessary? I've only been using it for Dex on fold 4 watching movies and KZfaq etc, and for work i use Windows laptop and I've dual monitors setup for that. if i use beam, which part of the experience will it change for me?

The beam allows the screen to stay fixed in the air while you move your head around instead of the screen following everywhere you look. This give a much better experience. It can also be done wirelessly. But if you're good with the screen following your head everywhere, and the eye fatigue doesn't bother you, then no you don't need it.

I bought the viture glasses and ended up refunding them becuase it definitely didnt get 1800 nits more like around 400 and you have to look down at the screen when using them instead of ur eyes being able to center the screen by default on xreal

I hope they have agreement to be able streaming netflix from smartphone. Or even better, just make FREE APPS so that we can control viewing mode from Smartphone. The beam is android base anyway. I've bought beam and its useless for watching netflix

Shouldn’t have to jump thru so many hoops to have this system work. Xreal software department lacking and the competition leaving them behind.

They are actually ahead of the competition in terms of software in this category of glasses, but i agree we shouldn't have to jump through so much hoops.
