Hope this helps! Hit that subscribe button if it did! I'm not a street photographer but I do enjoy the process of exploring a foreign city with a camera in my hands.

One of the things I do to teach somebody new at photography, is to walk around a city block, and don’t leave until you’ve photographed the whole thing from every angle. That means pushing yourself to find something creative, which can be a good exercise instead of just finding one or two things you would photograph normally. Even going back the same day at a different time can make something stand out that you didn’t see before!

When I used to live in Toronto, this is exactly what I did as well. I would follow the same photo route, and every time, it's something different!

Love the 23, but lately I've been having my eye on the 18 for establishing a scene. The 23 seems to beg for subject(s) for the viewer to focus on, but if there are none then it's like, "what am I supposed to be looking at?" 😂

I was in London a few weeks ago and can confirm it just rains, and rains, and rains... The sun came out for 2 hours and I was running around like crazy trying to get some more dynamic shots. LOTS of keepers from that 2 hours. 🤣

I have both the XF 23 and Nokton 23. But recently I’ve been absolutely blown away by the 7artisans 25mm f0.95 I got it for less than 200 new on eBay. It’s the only lens which makes Fuji apsc look like medium format. It’s far from perfect, but if you know what you’re doing, there’s absolutely nothing like it.

I heard the image quality is horrible for the 7art? Thats not to be the case?
@SiddhantParkar
@SiddhantParkar 7 ай бұрын
@@Iamtongue horrible is honestly subjective. It’s definitely not meant for architecture shots. It has bad flaring, bendy corners, vignetting, is soft at minimum distances. But for portraits OMG, there’s nothing like it. The shots coming out of it look like from a GFX camera. If fact the quirks improve the 3d pop of the lens. I’ve compared the Laowa 25 0.95, but it too isn’t close to the 7artisans. It’s also a “true” T1.05 lens as it’s adapted design from their cine lens. So basically it makes your camera into a night vision camera. I’ve been able to use it for video in pitch dark. I was turned off by the “soft” reviews. But those people were probably using it for the wrong things.

Hello, which 23mm do you prefer between thé voigtlander and the fujifilm ?
@SiddhantParkar
@SiddhantParkar 7 ай бұрын
@@user-fs5yp8mm6x Fuji if you want extremely sharp image and autofocus. Voigtlander if you want vintage character and lighter weight. I love both but I like the images out of the voigtlander better for my style of photography. But be aware, voigtlander has many optical flaws, like field curvature and is much softer than the Fuji.

I live 30mins out of London, I’ve always felt London is a 35mm city. It’s a sprawling city with not all that much going on in some places unless you’re going to the busy places like borough market. NYC I loved using my 16mmf1.4 there the streets are really alive and there’s loads going on. But also felt 50mmf2 worked on the streets there as did the 80mm getting the tops buildings.

Have you come across a bug or user setting error of sorts that, when you shoot in either aperture priority mode or shutter priority mode, the display maintains a perfect exposure no matter what the aperture or shutter setting is, but the final image being completely different to the preview on the display? The display does change when I use the exposure compensation dial, but it's not consistent with my shutter or aperture priority settings and the final outcome? I'm getting beyond frustrated to a point where I am considering selling my XT-5 and lenses after 7 years with Fujifilm.

Interesting discussion. Would you have considered a zoom for this shoot? Say 16-55 2.8 ?
@Iamtongue
@Iamtongue 7 ай бұрын
probbaly not that zoom because it's so heavy. I would opt for the sigma 18-50mm f2.8 perhaps.
