Hi Maya A friend of mine in the U.S. whom I went to a TCM school sent me a link to your channel. I’m Takashi and living in Hyogo now. And you know what? I’m the completely opposite case of what you have accomplished, which is so amazing by the way. I went to an acupuncture school in the U.S. , graduated and passed NCCAOM, practiced there and did follow the masters there. Yet, I ended up coming home and going to an acupuncture school again 😅😅 to practice here. So technically you are ahead of me by finishing the schools in two countries. What a journey it is! Don’t you think? A journey that we are going through. I struggled with English language but I made it through without student loans since I wasn’t citizen. Now back in Japan, I struggled with Katate Sohkan and Kami Jo sekyu 😅 And now I can’t use (and won’t be) herbs here the way I was able to in the U.S. Nevertheless I do love this art and to keep learning to reach even higher level of mastery. We may bump into each other someday as long as we both are in this profession. Until then, I hope you thrive and help more people 😊 Ps. Great videos!

That's amazing! I'm so happy you decided to go back to school. Where are you studying now? I do hope to bump into you soon as well. I have a 3 day workshop happening with my teacher in Tokyo in November. The workshop will cover the Iyashi No Michi Foundations. (いやしの道協会の基礎講座）. Would you want to come out? It will be in Japanese and English, so it might be nice for your brain to hear both parts of the translation.

November 😱 Mmm…. I would love to, but what do you think? I have Sotsusi in that month, Kokishi next Feb. And I would like to recommend such event is taking place in Tokyo to my fellow classmates…. I’m quite different from them due to my background in the U.S. You probably know how the last year students in Japanese acupuncture school are. They are at the stage where they are stretching their arms and trying to grab something in the clouds which they can’t see anything beyond, also they have no idea what lies ahead. Having said that, in my case, I might be only able to spare a day or two at the best if that is no school day, such as weekend or national holiday. But definitely I will look into it regardless. If I can, then I’ll. If I can’t, I’ll wait for the next opportunity that Kamisama is giving me.

how does the japanes deal with the chinese terms like qi, xue, shen and all that? asking because i'm interested in a post graduation and i have a pretty good level of understanding in portuguese and some chinese terms

Dependng on your school it can cost upwards of 6000000 yen to 8000000 yen. You can work in Japan after passing the national board exams.

That really depends on where you live in the world. In the U.S. and in Japan the schooling is 3 years long

That depends on the location they live in and how much they work of course.
