Today I'm showing how I blow out my side swept bangs. Often women with curly hair shy away from bangs but there's no reason to limit yourself. I style my hair from wet to straight using just a round brush, hairdryer, and a few great products. I hope you enjoy it!
Products I used:
Living Proof 5-in-1 Styling Treatment

I just happened to come across this video the other day. I'm 65 and a child of the 60s and 70s. I did try this blowout technique and it will take some practice. I have very fine, wavy hair...and a lot of it. I love the products with the exception of the Amp cream. Made my hair a feel a little sticky, but maybe I used too much. It looks great with the side-swept bangs. Thanks (from us older gals). :)

I saw this video over the weekend and it changed my life this morning! My bangs have not looked this good since I decided to go back to having them. I was spending at least 15 mins trying to get my bangs to lay the way I wanted after blow drying and using a flat iron, just to end up unhappy with the result. This morning I followed the instructions in your video and didn’t even need a flat iron! Thank you so much!!!

I have just binge watched a lot of your videos! you are such a sweetheart. my mom passed away almost two years ago in a car accident, and somehow when I stumbled across your video, you sounded just like her. I think thats one of the hardest things when someone we love passes, is not hearing their voice anymore. At first I just closed my eyes and listened while you talked. Then I realized that you were talking about hair, makeup and life lessons...all things my mom did. thank you so much for your time, and effort that goes into your videos.

Keri Ann Hunt I had to read your comment here an it touched my heart. I'm so sorry that you lost your mom. When you said about not hearing your mom's voice anymore it's something I never thought of, and that you close your eyes and just listen to and she sounds like your mom , that's so nice. wow my God the tears are running down my face. But God love you! and I'm glad you have this classy lady here that sounds like your mom, I came across her video by accident and that's what sucked me in right away is her voice and the way that she speaks. She explains things so well, I'm a retired hairdresser get I enjoy listening to her explaining and demonstrating the techniques so well. she's fantastic oh, what a talent!

I'm 63 and came across this video a while ago. I have very wavy, somewhat curly hair that always looks dry and frizzy. A few months ago I decided to try the Living Proof products, starting with shampoo and conditioner. FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE, MY HAIR ACTUALLY LOOKS HEALTHY, SHINY AND SMOOTH. Next step was using the other hair product, same result. I finally tried the hair blowing technique last week and IT WORKS just as demonstrated! I went out and bought the smaller size brush as the small round brush I had was just a tad too small. I have had so many compliments on my hair!!!! MY HAIR STYLIST EVEN COMMENTED ON HOW MUCH SHE LIKED IT AND HOW GOOD IT LOOKED! THANK YOU< THANK YOU< THANK YOU - for those of you who said they didn't think they could do it for whatever reason - TRY IT, it's worth the effort and actually does not take that long and by the way, I was able to go almost 7 days without washing my hair which adds to its health. It still looks fine after 7 days. Living proof also has dry shampoo if you prefer to "wash it" between wet washes. If I can do it, anyone can! Good Luck and thank you Dominique!

Thank you so much for this advise. I've never had a hair dresser blow out my bangs first. I tried it after watching your video and I am so happy with the result. I believe the product is everything. This is hands down, the best tutorial video on doing a sweeping side fringe (what we call 'bangs' downunder!) that I've seen yet. Thank-you! I can do a really good blow out at home, but it was my sweeping side fringe that always let me down - now I know why. I left it til last and was going about it the same way as I did the rest of my head. Its a good thing I'm a blonde LOL - it gives me the excuse for butchering my fringe all this time. Thanks again!!

Thanks for this video! To be honest, I didn't think too much of it at first, but I tried some of the tips one day last week and actually got compliments on my hair that day. I have a rather high forehead and could use the coverage that bangs can provide, but my hair is pretty thin and has a bit if a cowlick to deal with on one side. Apparently, sideswept bangs are just what I need! I haven't tried doing it again since as I just haven't had the time to fuss with them, but I plan to practice and learn to do them a bit more quickly. Thanks again!

You always have some of the best things in your video and I'm a license hair cosmetologist and I have been talking to people that want to grow there hair out and not cut off what's wanted !! So I totally agree with you on the way you did your bangs your technic is exactly what I do and have for yrs....alot of people think under blowing it will side swept your bangs.... funny thing you are the only one who is correct and tells excatly what you need and want to know about your bangs and going under is always what people have done and that's wrong well not wrong but not what your looking for if you want to have the swept over bang..so i appreciate your honesty and everything about you your a beautiful woman and I love the way you are every time you post a video it's always a new refreshing journey with you and I appreciate it more than you know....I've been watching your videos for about a yr now and they never get old always feel like there's a new thing to learn with watching them... Thanks, honey. I like your way, your manner, your voice. You're funny. Love how you explain everything for those of us who are product-averse and don't do much with their hair...! You're so pretty, too.

Perfect! I’m in my 50’s and have always had side swept bangs. I do have very curly hair, but never had a problem styling my bangs. Great info here for people who want a change. Ps-I use the same products and they’re fantastic!

I noticed how close your dryer is to your hair. Is this harmful for fine straight hair?

I now have a bob which has grown out from a pixie cut. I grew my fringe into longer bangs but having wavy hair it wouldn’t do what I wanted so I’ve had a shorter fringe cut. I just wish I had remembered watching this video 5 yrs ago! You can see my previous review 🤭🙄 My hair grows really quickly so I’m growing them back now I have rediscovered these videos. They are so reassuring and real. I have always followed you and know your life changes. You are an inspiration and you’re doing so well ❤️ Thank you once again 👏🏻😘🇬🇧

Love this, exactly what I needed to see. It’s obvious when you’re shown how, but it’s taken me a long while to work it out on my own! Thanks! Looks beautiful on you!

I love this tutorial. Like you, I have natural wavy/curly hair and this is such a nice way to dry and style without using a flat iron. I love the volume. Thanks Dominique!

I have always been drawn to your beautiful style and brought your picture to my stylist asking for “THIS”!!! Once I start styling it, it never looks the way my stylist did it. This tutorial was amazing. You have really made it so easy to follow. The results are amazing! Thanks for the tutorial.
