pinkleopard1000 same with me!! I have been straightening my hair for 2 years now. I'm in highschool and this whole school year so far, I haven't worn my hair curly once. Its always straight. Expect on the weekends when I wash it. Anyways, I want to go natural and wear my curly hair. I just don't really know where to start. I've done a little research and read some reviews on products and I gathered a list of about 4 products that'll hopefully help me to keep my hair down, not frizzy and defined (:

I don't have to use product except for argan oil for shine because I don't use shampoo with sulfates or silicon the same for my conditioner.

she also used a deep conditioner. it really moisturizes curls (depending on which ones you use) and you barely need any product after. especially if you just put coconut oil or olive oil in your hair for deep conditioning. you’re likely not going to wash it all out in the shower so you’re gonna have oil in your hair after the shower which means less product after the shower

I'm sorry about your hair, it must be horrible. If you ever dye your hair again (after what you said, this is probably unlikely) Avoid lighter colours if you can, since some contain peroxide which damages curls. Use the "plopping" ( it sounds gross but it's just piling wet hair up into a shirt) method to bring back springy curls. If the dye hasn't stripped your hair of all its keratin in your hair, your curls will come back. Hope this helps, if it doesn't, sorry for wasting two minutes of your life

But I found the way already. :D I did few things with my hair, started washing it in a different way, with different products, and it's getting better and better. NO more coloring, NO more bleaching, NO more some weird ass products, like gel and similar stuff...Nothing. Just my natural hair. The curls are back, and I am so, so happy about it. They are beautiful. I basically wash my hair with a lot of conditioner, I keep it on my hair for about 10 minutes, then I wash it off, then I wrap my hair up in normal, cotton shirt for 15 minutes and then I blow dry it. And it looks fantastic!

Hey girl - I totally empathise with what your saying about mixed texture hair leading to FRIZZ!!! You might wanna try two products I LOVE! Umberto Giannini's Flirty Curls Scrunching Jelly might work for you, but it depends on how curly your hair is (I would get a sample, they do little 99p sample bottles in some places), if not, then Aussie Dual Personality Curl Definition and Soft Feel Serum is my life saver!! My hair has got a lot curlier as I aged, but it's still a go to for me - if you don't want super defined curls, just frizz reduction, that is a holy grail!! And it doesn't weigh your hair down! Hope I've helped a curly sista out! xxx

Aha.My hair is curly and sometimes hard to mange but I won't change it for any hair type any day.

I used to have the same problem; now I use an anti-frizz creme (pantene pro-v my brand of choice) to get a rid of it and it works well for me :)

Well i use some cheap hair protein creme and it makes my curls moisturized and helps them keep their shape.

Straight hair is beautiful♥️ I have wavy hair so it's about as easy to maintain as yours. Curly hair looks cute when it's just curly but the curlier it is, the easier it is to start frizzing. So having straight hair gives you a very low chance of frizzing, which results in less maintenance. Also less frizzing results in less product going into your hair which results in healthier hair. So they curlier your hair is, it's more likely for your hair to become super unhealthy, bc of frizzing and product usage.

Hi! My father is Italian but he met my mother who is part black and part Native American. I have the same problem with random textures all over my hair. But my twin sister's hair looks like Andrea's. I'm so jealous. My whole life I was natural until almost four years ago... I couldn't stand it anymore. I got a keratin treatment. It was horrible. But I wanted something to loosen the curl pattern so I kept searching for the perfect keratin treatment. There were two more bad experiences. Until I went back to one of my old stylists who recommended Anevolve control zero. I fell in love. I have been using it for over a year, maybe two years, now. My stylist makes sure to go over the areas differently in order to create a more uniform curl pattern. I love the results every time. Don't go overboard though! I recently did that and now my hair is very fragile but still looks healthy (thankfully). I also use shea moisture products. I wet my hair and do a similar routine that is in this video. Don't use a brush or comb very often (I'm guilty of that). But when you do need one - use the Tangle Teezer. I hope I helped!

Idk where u live or if they have this but there is this product it is called wave Nouveau its in a blue bottle and I use it a lot and it helps with your hair it makes it soft and easy to work with. I put it in parts of my hair and braid it and then wear a silk bonnet every night. I know this is late but I hope this helps you😊😊

use 3 tablespoons conditioner and 3 tablespoons water. Mix it and put some on your hair. Let your hair dry naturally or use cool air. When your hair is dried you can put again a little to form your curles. It's something like strong leave in conditioner...you don't wash it. Sorry for my english i hope you understand what you have to do.

Lmao mine too. I never used to leave my hair naturally curly bc I hated it it would be a puffy frizzy mess. I used to always blow dry it and sum times after it's straight and it begins to frizz up I would use my straightener on my bangs. And my hair is really fucked up but I got tips from everyone on how to style curly hair and I got my own way: -I wash my hair using shampoo and conditioner takin out the nots starting from the bottom up(taking out the nots from the top of ur head down it makes u have split ends) . and dry it a little but not so Much. -I will Use any mousse and style how u wan ur hair I use two but the best one is: frizz-ease curl reviver styling mousse -then I leave the mousse for like 20minutes and then I just take my conditioner not a lot but not a little and add from the scalp down Conditioner I use: the garnier fructise: fortifying conditioner hydra recharge: super fruits of goji berry, passion fruit & kiwi NOTE: my hair is really curly but when wet not so much and I have a lot a lot a lot of hair . After u do all thisit will begin drying by itself (leaving ur hair really wet but not dap makes it take longer to dry up and leaves ur hair down an pretty) and after a hour of two of u doing this it will become more bouncy and puffed up(not ugly it makes it look like u have a lot of hair) and then after a long day it will be completely dry and puffy (still not ugly) and I will leave my hair with this thing for like 2-3 days then wash my hair again and redo this unless I blow dry it. And I'll never put my hair up only in really loose lazy buns. Bc if u leave it for a long time it will leave a really ugly mark and u will have to rewash ur hair and if u had to go out well I'm sorry.(ik this from experience) I HOPE THIS HELPS. rinse your hair out with cold water helps so much with frizz. NEVER EVER brush fry hair. Dry your hair with an old cotton shirt not a towel. let it dry naturally:) this is the main things I do. Also only wash your hair with shampoo twice a week max. That's gotten my hair a lot softer too. also try not to let the water hit your head when your shaving let it hit your neck instead of your hair

Hey! When your ends start to straighten up, it's time to get a trim as it basically means it's starting to split. I have the same problem too. You get get it done at saloons which do dry cuts or simply look up deva cuts on youtube and trim out the ends which are straight. Or if you really don't want a trim, I suggest deep conditioning and if that doesn't help.. maybe some gel and serum on the ends and finger coiling it a bit :)

Try avoiding using a hair dryer for the ends and instead put some natural oil like coconut oil or argon oil into your hair (scrunch it) and wrap it up for maybe an hour or longer it depends and when you take it down the hair will have dried into curls hopefully, the end look depends on whether you've doen it right and that's really just trial and error

Your frizzy hair is dehydrated hair. It wants to curl but it doesn't have moisture. Try using a humectant like aloe Vera juice or steaming your hair. Make sure you don't have too much product buildup at is now allowing moisture to your hair (could be a problem if you are using products with silicones). Using a sort of gel like flaxseed gel can help define and clump your curls

Update: I just got my hair softened at a salon and I'm so happy. It basically takes away ALL of my frizz, but still maintains my curls. I use a similar process as in the video and it actually looks similar. Best of all, washing my hair is now twice as fast. I would definitely recommend to anyone with hair like mine. Depending on how fast your hair grows, you may want to re-soften ever 6-8 months or so. The process uses a lot of natural, organic ingredients and still, 3 months later, my hair is shiny, defined, and frizz free
