If any audio sounds a little different, it's because I got a new headset and reconfigured all my audio software. I'm gonna start playing solo, should I just hop in solo or go with randoms and play "solo" till I get the hang of it?

Definitely go solo solo. Even if your teammates aren't the best, they can still give you an advantage of comms, extra killstreaks, bait, etc. When you play completely solo, you're deprived of even that much, and all your intel is what YOU see or hear yanno? Once you get the hang of that, you'll discover whatever weaknesses you have when you play (such as being too aggressive, not pushing at the right times, etc.). Might take a lot of dying in the process as it did for me lol but eventually you'll figure out what kind of playstyle works best for you!
