Happy Saturday everyone and long time no video! I've been super busy applying to internships, but along the way I picked up on a lot of tips and tricks that I wanted to share with all of you. This is the first video of a series I'll be doing discussing my internship application experience. Hey Mina. Thank you so much for a super informative video! Questions: Besides projects from your previous internships, did you have any personal projects included in your resume? And, did you have a website portfolio?

Hi, Mina. Great to see you & looking forward to your series. Curious why you want to graduate early when you are on a full ride? Just thinking an extra year of courses might allow you to add another degree or learn some other things.

That’s a great question! For my last two years of high school, I was in a sort of boarding school where I took a full load of college courses. So for me if I were to stay for 4 years of undergrad, it would’ve actually felt like 6 years of college and I think I would be very burnt out. Also, I’m excited to start being more independent and I think it’s more beneficial for me to start working as opposed to staying in school longer. Hi✋🏻I’m a freshman In highschool in Kentucky planning on going to the Gatton Academy. Are their any tips you could give me?

Haha it’s been quite a while since I applied to gatton so the application process might’ve changed. But for my time, ACT was pretty important as well as extracurriculars. I’m not sure standardized tests in general are as emphasized anymore but participating in ECs that you’re passionate about and talk about in your essays is definitely important! I can do my best to answer any specific questions you have :)
