For the past few days, using SignalRGB with a Govee M1 5m strip has been working flawlessly. Many months since this video was uploaded often the device would connect whenever it feels like it but finally the device connects consistently for every boot. I don't even have to start the light strip on the Govee controller, the device starts up automatically every time I boot the PC.

Never mind, it worked flawlessly for a few days but it's back to not being able to connect to the device again now.

I have the Govee 15in TV bars H6046 which have Lan control enabled. Signal RGB cant seem to find them. Multiple resets and followed the instructions but cant seem to discover them in Signal RGB

Same here! I have some monitor light strips (H6609) and they appear on the program but as "Govee Undefined", and I can't control them with SignalRGB

I just started to struggle to get it connected again. Reset the device and the program a bunch and made sure I was on 2.4hz Wi-Fi. Turns out I needed to go Video > Compatibility Mode, then it worked instantly.

Hi guys! I connected my Govee devices with SignalRGB and it first worked well. But when i restart my Computer or just boot it up. Sometimes SignalRGB wont recognice my Govee devices and they wont turn on no matter what I do. I run Signal as administrator and tried to restart the Programm or scan for these devices but nothing works. just a whole new restart of the Computer helps (sometimes). Of course i have enabled LAN-Control in my Govee app. Is there anything i can do to make it work stable? ITs so frustrating to not know if it works when u boot up. I Specificlly bought the Govees because of Singal-RGB-compatibility and thats even more frustrating...

I am thinking that maybe, just maybe, you are using a dual band Wi-Fi connection (where you have both a 2.4 and 5.0 band in one connection)? I was using a dual band Wi-Fi at first (the Govee strip only accepts 2.4 band Wi-Fi), and while everything from Govee worked just fine wirelessly and from the Govee app , I didn't succeed in pairing the strip to the SignalRGB program. I suspect that if I were to keep trying, eventually it would have worked and it would've connected when it feels like it, kind of like it does for you? Anyway, I adjusted my Wi-Fi connections and added a strictly 2.4 Wi-Fi connection, and I made the Govee app use that Wi-Fi connection specifically from my phone -- then it connected. Now the Govee strip connects to SignalRGB automatically for every computer reboot, and I rebooted it or shut it down 3 times in total now. Surely it takes a minute or two for it to re-connect after every reboot, but it does it without me having to go in to the SignalRGB and request the connection (if I have problems after this, I'll let you know). I could be wrong, but I hope it is of any help. I bought Govee solely to pair it with SignalRGB too. EDIT: A few days after I have also realized enabling Compatibility Mode can get it to connect. Just had huge trouble until I enabled that.

@Spiriax Great to hear that it works for u. I'm not sure if u tried it but do they work with a 2.4 mobile hotspot or does it have to be a broadband Wi-Fi connection?

@@arazmo_tt2114 I'm... not sure why you would want to try that? Before you connect SignalRGB to the Govee device you gotta enable LAN control. Doing this is only possible within the app, and so that means you are already using a phone. Wouldn't that phone already be connected to your Wi-Fi? Feel free to clarify if there's a misunderstanding.

@Spiriax Nvm the previous comment, it was just speculation. I do wana ask how you managed go adjust your WiFi to a strictly 2.4ghz connection. I believe it is one capable of 5ghz?

@@arazmo_tt2114 You login to your router and add the necessary Wi-Fi band. A modern router should include both 2.4 and 5.0 Mhz bands. Go to "run" a program. Type cmd. Inside cmd, now type ipconfig. You should get a list of stuff. Look at the "Default Gateway" row, because those numbers you need to add to your web browsers address field and you can login to your router. From here on every router is different, but you should be able to find the Wi-Fi settings you have.

I'm back again... I had the govee 65' 2*32 around my basement ceiling .. I could not get Signal RGB to see it as more than ONE LED.. so I replaced them with WS2812b's and a Gledopto WLED Digital Light Strip Controller WiFi DC5-24V it was 22 bucks.. and preinstalled with WLED.. now it works flawlessly.. only problem I have having now is to get my Govee curtain lights to work.. when it dose connect , it only sees 10 leds.. out of 520.. so my next step would be to do a direct IP connect I love Signal RGB as it controls 90% of my LEDs .. PC and desk and wall leds without a hitch. and their support was quick to get back with me.. thank you for that... I think I can make segments if I do it as a direct IP config and set the number of leds.. but the govee light curtain is setup like a matrix... might have to cut off the govee controller and add new one .. will see what happens... thank you to Signal RGB for making such an awesome program... I am a pro member and love it...

make sure your devices have the latest firmware.. you can do that through Govee

Once SignalrGB detected the Light Strip, and it would not control it, I did 2 things, in the govee app dig down to the Razer steps they mention to move brightness back and forth, when I did this it started following signalrGB and added it as a device. After that when you lose control, you just go Devices and disable/enable the Govee that is not responding and it wakes up and starts obeying again.

@SignalRGB does my pc also have to be on the wifi? I'm hard wired in to my router and I'm not showing anything in the Network tab. I have LAN control enabled and I've close the Govee apps on my pc and phone.

not sure if this is a problem yet as I am working on it.. but signal RGB is not seeing my govee.. yet.. it was already setup and is shared with google assistant.. so my next step is to delete it from the govee app and google and reset it to govee and try again... wish me luck :)

Are Govee Smart Light Bulbs supported? If not will they be in the future? I just installed some and they wont connect to signal rgb. Some redit thread said that if in the govee app "enable lan control" is not an option than they are not supported. Is this true? thanks

anything govee should work...as long as it's on the same 2.4 network

Disable and re-enable it in device settings, then reload the plugin.

Layouts are absolute garbo though. For example curtain lights, Signal wants to treat each strip as one led. so its treating 510 addressable leds only as 10. Similar with the Ceiling light where it completely ignores the ambient led strip at the base all to gather.

@@SignalRGB I have and seems multiple other people have mentioned it aswell. Govee.js code is (Starting at line 1206) sku: "H70B1", state: 1, supportRazer: true, supportDreamView: true, ledCount: 10 No sub devices or assigned LEDposition. There also appears to be a Reference definition error related to initialization of the UDP on line 52. Code base for the Govee plugin hasn't been really touched in almost a year outside of a few minor changes to H618A,H61D5,H6168.

fair warning, some govee devices will have wifi capability but not have an option for LAN control. This seems to be on a hardware/firmware version basis. if anyone has any insight or corrections to this info let me know.

I have Dreamview V1 with camera. Camera only has 1 button. I deleted it in the app, but it still doesn’t show up with the LAN control button.

Google what devices support lan control. Not all of them do, and some of them are being firmware updated so they can.

I found the network part to not be reliable at all. Would only detect 1 neon strip where the govee app detects all. Assuming they are looking for the same ports/protocols. There is just too much hassle right now outside of not being able to segment lights. Especially i think if you have more than 1 item.

To this day goove products like hexagons panels and desktop strip dont work ore detect. Nanoleaf work fine every time, even yeelight just integrated in signal rgb works fine but not the govee. Signal rgb have a big problem with govee and not working after one year, so i lost any hope they will fix this isue.

@@reignman.7555 If you dont see the LAN control option in the govee app for your govee device, then the device cant work in SignalRGB, that is not our problem at that point.

If you reset the light strip without first removing the strip in the app, it won't work. I had to go "remove device", then reset the strip, then reconnect the strip in the app. Then LAN Control appeared.

There is no way to segment wifi controlled devices at the moment. I’m not sure how possible it will be in general.

@@Tactical_Hotdog We made changes to layouts recently which is probably what messed up your lights. Go take a look at the new customize page and you’ll see that now effects and layouts are merged into one place to make it easier. A big change could definitely cause some initial problems with your setups. Pro has nothing to do with your lights.

@@SignalRGB I fully understand the layouts, thanks. The lights themselves are nowhere near synced, they don't match the layout, really obvious with just a scrolling down colour shift
