I find using L2 touch works well even if no other players are around. Just seems to get the player going in the right direction

That last segment on taking a touch into space, is this done just using the left stick? When i make a pass and want to receive it in a different direction to the way hes facing he always controls it first then i have to dribble. Its not smooth at all

Good luck when you play against people defending with their attackers and letting AI defend. As much defender as you draw towards you, space is never created!!! Or go with your back against the defender you are faced with the attacker. You will try your best to trick both the defender and attacker, then a back tackle is very effective. So whether you take a good first touch or not, the result is the same. I play games where i go over the pitch the whole half and yet no space.

Been playing FIFA since like 03 properly and why the fuck do I need to have tutorial evey year on the new FIFA. It's lik they completely change the game and make it more like PES every fucking year. This is the most stale and stagnant gameplay I've ever played. Ugh back to 22 I think..
