Hi Guys.
In this video I will tell you how I edit the pictures that I showed you how to take in part 1 and what apps I use for iphone. The apps can mostly be downloadet for android too or used on a computer in a browser. I will show you how to make the drawings look really good on social media. I edit my pictures using snapseed, handyphoto and canva. It's all about how you take the pictures and present them that will make a difference to your audience. I hope you Agree that I usually have well edited pictures. In this video I show you how to edit pictures of your drawings like me.
There are no commercials or sponsored content in this video. It's my opinion. I hope you will find it helpful.

So, a goal for presenting your art would be to get or borrow a better camera - don't let it get you down

Kinda messes up the idea of the drawing... its supposed to be finished on paper, not in camera.

Unfortunately, the reality demands perfect pictures on social media otherwise you won’t sell your product. Insta filters, face tune, even the pictures of food go through editing software. And in this case I want to show ppl how I adapt my pictures for SoMe. Moreover, not everyone has the latest phone that can take great pictures. You can do whatever you want, what’s the problem
@torbengreve
@torbengreve 3 жыл бұрын
@@NinaBlangstrup If you filter the photo of your drawing for the intention of selling it, you will end up with disappointed customers, because the real life tonality doesn't live up to the photo. Basically, what you are doing in filters can be achieved by making deliberate choices regarding the tonality on paper through choice of materials. Then photograph it under the right lighting conditions, and you will reach an honest yet "SoMe" minded result. You probably already know her, but if not... check out Silvie Mahdal.

@@torbengreve silvie edits her pictures using the same programs as me 😅 Also, how are you supposed to take professional pictures using a phone at home? And there’s a fine line between making it look presentable and fake af

We do a lot of these tuts bc people ask for them in Ninas art community. Also we see a lot of people who take pictures that basically looks ugly, not because of the skill set, but because of the photos. Both pre and post edit. We had a lot of people thanking us for making these two tutorials :) As a tv journalist I totally agree with you that you shouldn't move past the point where it becomes over edited - simple is oftentimes the best solution. But not doing anything at all will make your presentation too sloppy as the many examples we have from Ninas community and everywhere on the internet. :) In that sense I don't think it messes up the idea of the drawing - it on the other hand cleans up the basic idea and makes it more presentable. It's not like she is telling people to haul theeir art through filters to alter the work - she is giving them a few advantages when it comes to apps, lighting and other hacks for presenting your art online :) Silvie Mahdal is a bad example as she is one of the great examples we follow. She and others use the same tricks because they work. And also - we actually take into consideration that some of our followers cant afford fantastic cameras, so using these tricks can also help if you have less state of the art equipment - and we would like to inspire that. :)
