Hello .. yes you can take your personal car to north Sikkim for sure . You can take the permit from Mangan at DC OFFICE . You just need a RC book . Registered at your name mandatory . Your driving licence , insurance and puc also required .

Hi Vineet, Amazing video, very informative. Was it too difficult to drive with a low ground clearance car? Or is it manageable with careful navigation? I’m planning to visit Gurudongmar in my Honda City, mostly during January end. Also, is it mandatory for the car to be in my own name? Awaiting your response. It will be extremely informative.

Hello Swapnil thanks for the lovely comment ... It’s manageable to drive with sedan with careful navigation ... kindly drive on a constant speed on snow and be extra careful once snow is melted . Try to leave early from gurdongmar lake it will help you to avoid muddy roads ... car is suppose to be on your name they ask me twice for the same . Kindly fuel up at Mangan .. Hello Rajesh … mein Verna mein Gaya tha which is again 165 mm ground clearance hai so yes you can 👍👍👍 Car aapke naam pe honi chahiye compulsory and carry all documents with you … all the best for your journey just my suggestion don’t take kids to lake .. weathers condition and oxygen level is very low

For car permit -: you can make from Gangtok or Mangan . In Mangan DC office pamtok . Documents -: Blue book , licence , puc, insurance . Aapke permit ke sath gadi ka option diya rehta in same form .. no money charged it’s free of cost

Hello thanks a lot for your lovely wishes , yes aap gadi Leke jaa sakte hai , best is aap directly Mangan Se permit karae address -: DC OFFICE PAMTOP , MANGAN , NORTH SIKKIM . Waha par aapko jo form milega usi mein aapki gadi ka option bhi hai just fill it together . Documents required -: RC BOOK , PUC, DRIVERS LICENCE & INSURANCE . Most important -: Vechile should be register in your name private Vechile only . Hope it will be useful thanks .do share videos with friends and family .

@@THATONEDAY highest motorable road was constructed in Ladakh. Roads in Sikkim arr in deplorable condition. We need to educate the public about road etiquette and how to drive without using the horn.. unfortunately no one is taking the initiative to do this. Driving licences are being sold for a pittance here. People don't know basic road rules. They drive on wrong side of the road even on highways. All they know, or think they know is tjat if they sit on that horn, the traffic will magically disappear. People have no respect for red stop lights. How will things improve. Can you imagine these things happening in any othrr country other than Bangladesh and a handful of African lawless countries?

@@NordicPolestar Hello Arshad! You have absolute wrong perception abt Sikkim. Yeah I accept that the road conditions here in Sikkim are in pathetic condition because of landslides/heavy rainfall during April to August but the driving discipline is way better than any State of India. Here unnecessary honking is prohibited and people are very much friendly.... Sikkim doesn't have any traffic light signal system instead Police personnel regulate the entire traffic system of the State.... Pls do come Sikkim and visit once then you will get to know abt Sikkim....
