I think I have stress because I went from baby step 6 back down to baby step 3 ,because Murphy showed up at my house ( new AC unit.) . 😢 And I’m so used to putting 15% in my 401k . and I had to stop that. Just to start building my emergency fund back up. I feel like a small child who had their security blanket taken away. * no credit card debt * never had streaming subscriptions * no student loans * paid off old car * no Internet 12 yrs ( until I had to start working from home) * no medical debt * use Night lights instead of lamps I truly live a minimalist life ,I don’t know what is the fastest way to pay back my emergency fund.

Hey Ashley, have you tried to renegotiate services like your internet, phone, etc? Sometimes you can get a great discount on the plans by doing that. It might not be a lot per month, but per year it can be a lot.

Pertaining to groceries, do you count all the things you buy for pets in that category? I have 2 dogs and a cat ( had them for years so no I’m not rehoming them ) they are a pretty big expense that wasn’t so noticeable until the last few years as they get older . Do I make a separate envelope for them or is that in the grocery budget ? Thank you

Unsubscribing from marketing emails and then signing up to Slick Deals sounds counter-productive. Yes, there are bargains to be had on Slick Deals, but you will also be tempted to buy stuff that you don't need, just like with the marketing emails.

I grew up in poverty with nothing went to school while working illegally underage at 8 years old to eat tons of disabilities mental and physical and graduated by the skin of my teeth got 2 full time jobs and still have both now I make 100k plus a year with over a million net worth.
