In this video, I'm walking you through the step-by-step process I used to take notes in nursing school and get straight A's.
I'll also walk you through my STUDY HACK for how you can take notes once, and never have to open your textbook again.
HERE'S A BREAKDOWN OF WHAT WE'LL TALK ABOUT:
STEP #1 Plan ahead on HOW you'll take notes (1:00)
STEP #2: Take notes using ONE color of pen (1:46)
STEP #3: Read the sections of the book your professor talked about IN CLASS (3:08)
STEP #4: Take notes from the book on the SAME page as your notes from class (4:00)

Taking notes in class doesn't work for me because I cannot keep up and I will have incomplete sentences, plus English is not my first language. I would just actively listen in class, record my lectures and right after class I would listen to the recording. Thank you so much for the study tips! :)

Hey Lilly Xo! As far as getting used to NCLEX® style questions and practicing questions, the resources we always recommend are the Saunders NCLEX Comprehensive Review book (it's a physical book), and the NCLEX Mastery App (this one is an app for your phone). They have tons of options to filter through questions (fundamentals, pharmacology, med-surg, etc.), and they are very similar to the questions you'll see on the NCLEX. Hope this helps. :)

In nursing school I used to study prior to class, record the lecture so I could pay attention in class and then after class write all the lecture into notes lol it was a bit much and sometimes unnecessary.

I sooooo wish we were able to record lecture! Our school didn't allow it, so that was a real bummer. I DEFINITELY recommend it if you can! And I'm glad you were able to in your program. And yes, over-studying can be a real problem, especially when we don't know what to focus on!

I think that most of the lectures at universities are recorded and accessible to student at any time. Is this right?

Our program didn't allow us to record lectures. I know of many programs that do though! So I think it just depends on your school's policy.

Nope. :) I always found it best to figure out what the professor wanted us to know, and then focus on studying that after class.
