I liked this video so much that I decided to become a subscriber! He went through all the positives and negatives. The setup. The operation. He talked about hobby use. I would grade this video 10 out of 10.

You should be able to speed up scanning time by lowering the scanning resolution. I'm sure that scanner can scan at least to 4000dpi, but that is way overkill for cards. 600dpi should be plenty for ebay images, maybe even 300dpi. The higher the resolution, the slower the scanner moves across the card, trying to get a more detailed scan.

I have this scanner, not because of this video, and i'm not here because of the scanner, just a weird coincidence. Anyway, I can tell you from a few scans that the highest preset is 1200 and takes a landscape-oriented unsleeved, unslabbed yugioh-sized card maybe 20 seconds to scan. The lowest preset is 75dpi and will take no longer than .5 seconds for the same area. Just to test it after reading your comment, I just manually set it to 4k dpi and it certainly is trying, but I just wrote all of this after it had already been scanning for over a minute and it's still not done lol. Just finished - the file is a quarter of a gigabyte and it ended up taking about 4 full minutes for the scan to complete. Hoo boy. Thank you for giving me this cursed idea.

Great video. Helped me for sure. So far I've noticed I wished it would show the shine of the card better. Like on the Prizm Silvers. You really get that shine on light boxes. But maybe there's a setting I can play with.

Hey man, good video. I have the same scanner and can scan 4 cards at once and it will autocrop for you. I think you have to use the home setting, not office. Give it a try.

@@nameno1caresaboutthere is software that does it. Make sure to use preview before you scan. Also, I have to put cards in top loaders to scan the backs of the cards and have them be separated. Front of cards can be out of sleeves with no problem.

Why wouldn't you just use the software that came with the scanner instead of pushing the button to scan. You need to work on your stuff. Your scans are off on one side.

How many cards can you scan at once? I'm trying to scan several hundred cards so I'm looking to shorten the time required in any way possible.

@@mikebuf5 I can get 9 at a time with this scanner. But I normally just scan 4 at a time. But I also post a lot of slabs so the flatbed works for everything. If you're always scanning 100+ if definitely look at getting a different one. Fujitsu for sure
