Hi thanks for the video I've got a baby ringneck parrot his name is Nugget, his now 17weeks his been with me for two weeks l give him vegetables and fruit he seems fine in the cage but he get a bit annoyed when l put his food in his cage l think it's because he came from a avery do you think that is why his annoyed at me today I've left the cage open for him but he gets down but just goes back up and gets he his cage why is he so skittish?

Hi, Carol sapphire thank you so much for your positive feedback. I hope Your ringneck parrot 'Nugget" will be alright please try to feed him with your hand every day. Some Birds are so skittish because they are constantly alert to potential threats that may come their way, whether that be natural or other man made causes.

As a new subscriber I have only just come across this video. I have a 21 year old green cheeked conure. He was hand reared so I was able to bond with him immediately. I have taken in 2 young budgies and they won't let me near them; any suggestions? Btw if you haven't already got a name for this little one I would suggest Casper (like the baby ghost in the cartoon 😆. Regards from Linda in Glasgow.

Hi, Linda Bell Thank you so much for this cute name 💗..yes bond with hand raise bird is usually easy but train an Aviary bird is hard but not impossible 😉.. I'll suggest you try to feed them millet sprays with your hand. Are they bonded with each other?

@@BirdsTV4U Yes they are totally bonded with each other which makes it harder for me. I've tried using millet to coax them over but as soon as I open the cage door they panic. They are well looked after, well fed and I house them in the largest size Vision cage so they have plenty of space to fly. I also have them in the same room as my conure and they see him flying over to me all the time. I just can't get them to trust me 😥. Thanks for your reply ❤️

Aren’t Quaker parrots supposed to mainly eat good quality pellets and fruit and veg as their main diet and then get seeds like sunflower seeds etc as treats because they are high in fat and lack other nutrients?

how about snowball. i got a quaker baby 3 weeks ago. it completely fearful of hands untamed screams when whenever i go into room never mind even getting close to his cage. will tolerate me scratching his head if i move slowly. he will not even take treats from me. considering rehoming

tried that h wont accept treats from me.. i giving him 3 months then i have to revaluate @@BirdsTV4U
