I would like to note that she mentions several times that Teddy is unflappable. This is not the case for most ponies, so if you are watching this video to learn how to train your own pony to drive never attach a cart to a pony and let him on his own. Should anything surprise him and cause him to spook you can have a real train wreck. That Teddy is amazing!!!!!😍

I would have the saddle a bit further back so the girth gives his elbow a little more room

Oh my god today I made the discovery of this ABSOLUTELY cute and beautiful pony!!! The bit is really pretty, but it would be good as an ornament, and switch to a leather or rubber bit, which do the same job, but more gently.

Put the traces out side the tugs. And excess reins sit on so they don’t get caught up in the wheels. Trot on

If you choose to invest I would suggest getting a 4 wheel carriage just because the balance is often so much better and they can often be converted to a pole as well as shafts for pairs driving when Albert's a bit older. Also alotmof driving clubs have indoor classes or short format events for minis.

The harness is from mini horse shop and the cart was bought from the dinky driving fb page 😃

Not sure how many people are aware that you can totally work with horses in a bit-less bridle.

Never go without a bit when a horse or pony is pulling a cart. That's asking for accidents. Also a lot of insurances won't pay out in case of an accident because of the extra risk that is taken.

Traces go under the shaft and not through shaft tugs. Where are his blinkers?

He doesn’t need blinkers when he’s just mooching around being led, but yes I know the traces are wrong. This video is quite old. Thank you 😊

@@teddytheshetland2098 maybe you should add that to the video. No pony should ever be driven without blinkers, it's very dangerous, unflappable or not.

4.00 looks cute but is so so dangerous. Even a cute pony like this can be spooked. The dog seems to be tied to the cart, another dangerous thing, if something happens he can't get off. Looks cute but don't.

The dog is most definitely not tied to the cart! I don't think I have ever seen Teddy spook in his life, but yes I would not do this with any other horse :)
