I recently returned to the US after living and teaching English in Thailand for 8 years. We spoke briefly a couple years ago when I wanted to start with VIPKID but never did. I’m in a tough situation now and really need to get started ASAP, preferably with Outschool because of what I’ve heard from you. Just need to get rolling and decide what to teach. In the TEFL diploma, classroom dynamics are a study topic part of teaching skills - this video deals V much with 'classroom aesthetics' and can be just as important to get as rights as good eloquence, grammar, detail, attitude etc. I don't think surface concerns will EVER take away from a good teacher who is knowledgeable and professional and enables an excellent student but it is SO important to consider these elements. Bit like a tutorial on visuals.

I immediately hit the like and subscribe button after watching this video. It was so enlightening. 😊 Thank you so much. Let me share my story with you a bit. I've never held an online class before, so a reason came for me to do so soon, and I typed on my search button " how to teach a class online." Your video appeared first, then I clicked and voom! It was so exciting. At the middle of the video where you talked about appearance, I paused a d contemplated if I should show my face. Couldn't I just use text and pictures all through 😅? I was partly convinced to show my face, because it would build more credibility for me on my online platform too. So i want to kinda draw some courage from you 😅😅😅😅

Hi Christina! I used your referral and you helped me get hired with VIPKid 4 years ago. Thanks so much! Sadly, due to the new AB5 law in certain states I won't be there after this month. I'm transitioning to teaching independently and on Allschool. Your tips are helpful - what webcam are you using? I find my logitech one isn't good enough for art classes because the colors aren't accurate. If you have suggestions I'd love to know! Thanks for the video!!
