I was taught by my mother how to sew and I was able to make my own hats, shirts, dressy shirts, and other stuff. But i never learn how to cut pants nor jackets. It was fun to make stuff but now i just go to old navy or Walmart for some chepo stuff for work and express, jCrew republic for something for going out. Happy sewing time. Don't forget to have different types of machine needles, and lots of bobbins. (:
