Stripping down our DB60 planter to prepare for some upgrades!
Welcome to Farming With Carp. This channel will show you the jobs that we do on our farm in Indiana each day. We are a regenerative organic farm that capitalizes on the uses of cover crops. We raise corn, soybeans, wheat, peas and alfalfa. We also have a growing herd of livestock on the farm that we graze across our acres. Come along for the ride!

Nice organization skills haha. Have you done this before on this planter? How many acres does it do before a rebuild is required?

We have replaced items on it before as they wear out. This is our first complete parallel arm rebuild that we have done. If maintained properly you can do several acres without having to replace anything. Our planter was just do for a rebuild.

How do you think that would do on a 90' tool bar 54 row? Pulled with a Cummings 15 liter tractor.

If it would pull, and at a decent speed, going into standing covers. Curious how far that potential for capacity can be pushed. Missing time windows is my biggest challenge.

@@LtColDaddy71 Depends how much the motor is putting out I suppose. A 15 liter Cummins would pull a 90 footer no problem in my opinion, as long as it has the hydraulic capacity. And yes with that you could cover some ground in a timely manner. Making you get more done in the time windows you need to
