I got the idea from this video on a Facebook post in the Home bicycle mechanics page. Most Shimano and SRAM rotors, regardless of model, are the same thickness new (1.8mm for Shimano, 1.85 for SRAM. The suggested replacement thickness occurs at 1.5 for Shimano and 1.55 for SRAM), This may vary upon actual measurement as seen in the video, It's very important to replace any Shimano ICE tech rotors at the 1.5mm stage as there is an aluminum insert sandwiched within the stainless steel brake track.
