Can you share where you found that 90 degree adapter? I've been looking everywhere for one as the space to connect the gage to the fuel rail is tight.

Also, this does not seem like a fuel issue if what you said is true that you are holding 50psi with the engine on or off. It sounds more like an ignition related issue or a massive vacuum leak.

I want to ask.. my car is E250 CGI, when I kickdown, at 5-6k rpm I feel stuck and suddenly the rpm drops to 5000 down. Then the gas response is unresponsive as it is being held by the ECU (doesn't want to kick down again). But after turning off the engine and turning it on again, the engine just wanted to pull again, but it couldn't kick down until 5-6k rpm. when scanned, no mulfuction came out. I've been around to many workshop and haven't found this solution... please help me to solve this problem🙏🙏🙏 thank you...

I have a mercedes c-class with the om642 3.0 cdi diesel engine,2008.I'm getting a fault only when i accelerate really hard at say 60mph,i get fault code p0089 or 11b800. As soon as i accelerate hard the eml failt light comes on and power is reduced. My car runs absolutely flawlessly at all other times,in fact if you drive the car normally and leisurely you wouldn't know car had a fault! All fuel sensors have been replaced,lift fuel pump in tank is fine so i'm suspecting it's the high pressure fuel pump at fault,can the high pressure pump show a fault only when being pushed hard suddenly at speed,but perform well otherwise??

I believe you're referring to the mass air flow (MAF) sensor retaining clip. The air filter box is held in place to the maf sensor by that clip.

Can u do this test if the car doesn't run? I can hear my fuel pump prime wich makes a loud almost growling sound but car wont stay running and acts like its running out of gas before it stalls. I want to see if my pump has enough pressure. It only stays running for 10 seconds if that.

the sound of it priming tells you its getting power - but the growling part can indicate that the pump is not working properly (i.e. enough pressure in the line to feed the injectors adequately.

@@iRepairAutos thanks for thr fast reply. Can you do a pressure test if the car doesnt run though?!? Or does it have to be running to test the pressure? For example can I hook up the gauge and then turn the car to the on position to get a reading that tells me if its producing the right amount of pressure or does it have to run?

I have a situation when with 1/2 tank of gas, when I make right hand turns or accelerate quickly the car loses power. Guessing it is an issue with getting fuel. Any thoughts on what may be going on?

it could be clogged fuel filter. most today's vehicles have fuel filter in the gas tank, so not easy to replace. try "fuel system cleaner" and "fuel injector cleaner" first. cheapest easiest thing you can try. if that doesn't help, it gets more expensive.

Check your fuel pump fuse. Also use your remote to arm, then disarm the vehicle. Maybe your security system has locked out the fuel system when your changed the battery. Fuel pump could be bad but I would check those things first.

How do you use a remote to arm and disarm. My ML350 was showing that battery was dying and stopped on the freeway. Found out the battery was dead then checked the alternator and was also dead. Now I have a new battery and an alternator and the problem ensues. Please help

We just put in a new alternator with the new battery and still just cranks and not starting

That pump is rated at a 40psi line consistent pressure. I'd possibly look into your regulator or filter. I am currently diaging one with zero fuel rail pressure. I've come to the conclusion of a bad fuel pump

Likewise but I’ve also heard that the crankshaft position sensor could be the reason the fuel pump doesn’t turn on also so I hope once I put the new fuel pump in, that’ll do the trick. Changed the oil to my car and then boom crank but no start.

@@kjr8290 unfortunately I've come to learn sometimes that's just the circumstances. Did a trans service on my 86 Merkur and my rear output seal went right after. Sometimes it's just the Unluckyness of the draw. Though giving ford common issues. If it's phaser driver VVT It could very well be the crank or even cam sensor. But from experience I don't think they are In line connection wise. I believe it is a reference for signal. Alternatively you could bypass the relay and jump power to the pump that will tell you if the pump infact is shorted or functional.

Fuel pump was good. Continued to trace the problem and found it to be the air intake manifold was bad (broken flaps internally)

No, that's not what the clear line is for! And it's definitely not a "bleed line". It's used for performing a fuel volume test.

It is used to release pressure from the fuel rail, along with checking pressure. If you are removing the fuel rail to service injectors, intake manifold, etc, then you release the pressure from the fuel rail. If you want to check the pressure levels, the schrader valve on the fuel rail is also utilized for that purpose.
