Knee pain can derive from poor ankle mobility or weak calves. Understanding how well your ankle moves as well as your ankle strength can determine how you approach your training. Use this ankle assessment to determine what ankle exercises are needed most for your training.

yesss! It's super interesting because my ankle mobility is really good, but under load, it is super sad lol (I have no strength or stability). I think this may be the reason as to why I would get not only ankle sprains but problems all the way up the chain to the low back. Being able to manage load under these mobile conditions is key for injury prevention and movement quality. Much love coach !!

How many calf raises did you get?

@@GBGHoops I did 23 to tap out on my right, and on my left I got 20. The first 18 (on my right) and 14 (on my left) were super clean and I was able to go all the way to my toes, but after that, I all of a sudden wasn't able to get my heel as high as I was before. Do you think this is a strength issue or a muscle endurance issue. I usually train calves in a much shorter rep range (8 - 12). Probably should increase it since the demands on the lower leg are much more repetitive on court.

Perhaps you have flat feet, look at doing some self massage with a lax ball. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oa-Wm8l-2a3NnHU.html
