In retail, I’m a mediocre tank at best. In remix, I’m a god at it. It’s a nice feeling to be on top for a brief period of time.

Necklace, cloak, rings, and trinkets are not upgradeable. Only armor and weapons can be upgraded to 556. The strongest boost you can feel is if you upgrade your pieces of gear with your tinker gems in it first: shoulder, wrist, gloves, belt. Weapon is important, but is class specific so it varies. Then either your helmet, to buff your meta gem, or your chest and legs to buff your prismatics. Upgrading gear with prismatics in them boosts the stats the prismatics give you. You must upgrade all weapons, and armour to the same ilvl before you can restart this cycle. Raids, especially with the new bronze buff to caches, is the BEST source of bronze, after your dailies & LFG/LFR daily bonuses. Anyone can do normal raids, theyre as easy as LFR wings. And each boss gives 1k bronze.

Before the recent buff to bronze and threads I put in just over two weeks of the 7 daily rewards, all world bosses, and every wing of LFR to fully upgrade gear. If I did that now I'd be fully upgraded and cloak would be twice as strong. Do that if you have a few hours each day.

You can't have "mostly 528 gear and some high 300s gear" ... you can NOT upgrade items unevenly. Everything must be 514 before you can upgrade to 528.

TLDR - get max ilvl and use the OP combo of lifestorm / searing light. If you're tank use mark of arrogance. If you're really into mega cheesing you can straight up delete your jewelry after you max out your gear. This will make you stronger in all instanced content on heroic / mythic difficulty because of how scaling works, but it's really not needed. Just play the game and do the dailies. I came in late and played for a week and a half and my character is max ilvl and has cleared mythic siege several times. It's not hard.

Gotta love the exploiters(the mage) he was a frogger, he's just lucky he wasn't one of the ones who got all their stats erased.

How: they did frogs and did not get their bronze reset along with their cloaks and gear, thats how :)
