This video has really helped me throw so much better and consistently. A lot of good information in this video. Is there a possibility of a video like this for reverse grip no spin throwing?
@joelholopainen68657 ай бұрын
Glad to hear! What is comes to reverse grip it’s the same thing. The secret of no spin is told in the sequence of 4:10-4:50. Also releasing the knife already when its’ tip points back is important but don’t open the grip.

@@joelholopainen6865 thank you for the response. I will definitely give this a try!!

@@joelholopainen6865 I applied what you said to reverse grip and did much better today. I still have a long way to go, but stuck 2 different knives from 3 meters. I also believe my grip was not correct and that helped as well.
@joelholopainen68657 ай бұрын
@@keitham75 even for throwers who are much better than me reverse grip is difficult. It’s not a good grip but it can show you the ’magic of no spin’.

I noticed when practicing this myself, that I have a lot of strain on my shoulder. How often do you rest? Any tips to avoid injury? Thank you!
@joelholopainen68652 ай бұрын
I practice just 1-3 times per week. Shoulder pain is common among any kind of throwers. My osteopath friend always advices me to do a little of some sort of HEAVY weight strength training to keep the injuries at bay.
@jaketwilcox13Ай бұрын
I also noticed while watching your videos and some of Tom Tom's videos that the knife is straight the ENTIRE flight, from the moment it leaves your hand to hitting the board. Does this just come with practice? Is this the perfect no spin throw?
@joelholopainen6865Ай бұрын
@@jaketwilcox13 it’s a feature of wave no spin throw which is based on pulling. It cannot be achieved with push-style. Keep firm grip all the way like you were not want to let go of the knife and throw with your lower body (legs and hips) while everything else is relaxed (but guided).

Thank you guys! I wished you had done this video a little bit longer with more explanation and maybe even recapitulation. Our English is not the best😂😂😂
