My judo (black belt level) saved my life at least two times in motorcycle accidents. Learning to fall is so critically important. I am here today, in one piece due to proper falling. It works even on the asphalt at high speed. I don't drive motorcycles anymore, but I will be a martial artist till I'm no longer able.

Im a taekwondo student and one of the one steps you have to fall back if you do it wrong it is fun no it hurts but I get up again and try to fall again

It's okay. Every Judo training requires 2 people: One does the move on the another (One move per lesson) The other behaves like a dummy. I was always the second guy...

My 1st taste of judo. 2nd grade, recess, Tom Philbin grabbed my arm and flipped me with a perfect ippon seio nage. It happened so fast. Ever since that moment I have been fascinated with judo. It was beautiful.

Not Gage you should've tried it with your friend sitting on his knee and having his left knee up. If you easily hit his thigh you can move up to standing and make him put his left leg off the ground. It sounds stupid but it's a good way to prevent nasty things from happening.

The throw isnt done with the leg, the leg just guides your uke, the trow is done with the hips

No disrepect to the 6th Dan, he clearly knows what he's doing. But he should also know it took him 20+ years of practice to get this level of technique... 2 minutes isn't enough to even start to practice, even if you watch the video many, many times. You need an instructor, or at least a partner who's had some experience, or else people are going to get hurt.

I saw the first move in a street fight. The fight ended there. guy didnt know what happend to him just got slammed like a pizza dough, and broke his ribs on the concrete. Judo is efficient in the streets man unlike aikido and all that bullshit

They will damage there ribs or even worse if I guy like this gives you a powerful throw if you don't wanna break your ribs before your about to hit the ground slap your palms to the ground and your foot and it relives a lot of the pressure not all tho so it's could still hurt if not done carefully
