Usually I had to re-tie my shoe lace in the middle of my run at least one time which was a big hassle when I ran with other people. Tried this method and it really worked! My shoes laces did get a little tighter by the end of my morning run. Small tweak that made big enjoyment! Thank you for the video!!

OMG I'm so excited about this! My laces kept coming undone and I have no idea why; yesterday, when I went hiking, they came undone 4 times---twice on each shoe, and I had to keep stopping. I was hiking with 50 people and there wasn't a single other person who stopped to tie their shoelace. I finally had enough and did a google search. There are many videos available here on how to properly tie shoelaces so they do not become undone. This is by far the best and also my personal favorite solution. I absolutely love its simplicity: to simply reverse the first step of how one normally ties shoelaces (left lace under right lace instead of over) and then simply tie as usual. It's genius and it really works too!

Fantastic video…. A small suggestion when you tie your bow instead of Going over the tie go ‘under’ and make your other loop. That will make your bow stay straight across the shoe…

The first part where you loop the left lace under and through did end up a bit loose but after I finished the knot they feel nice and sturdy. Gonna give them a proper test. Hopefully they stay tied together bc I spent big dollars on these shoes and having to make sure they're tied up every few minutes has gotten really annoying.

If this works, I will owe you a debt of gratitude for whatever's left of my life. I like to tie my sneakers when I first buy them and never want to tie them again. Some pairs, that's fine, but these I have to tie about every two weeks. I know, it sounds pitiful but it's getting harder to reach them without back pain and some days, I have to take them off to tie them.

Realizing the knot tied regular first way you showed, the knot will still self tighten. It’s the string pulling or looseness that makes it insecure in the first place. How does this method make it any different? I’m lefty and when grabbing for the second step, it slips unless I’m grab ahold of it..thanks
