Tighten the bike chain on an internal gear bike so that your chain doesn't drop off anymore. The same process will work on single speed or fixed gear bikes.

@@Homeneer it worked! My rear wheel misaligned after the first two test rides, so I made more adjustments and re-tightened the bolts. I also used your shifter adjustment video. Thanks again for helping me tune up my bike!

I've got the exact same Shimano inner hub system but with little adjusting screws on each side of the wheel and I'll get the tension in a good place but when going to highest gear number three it starts to slow down rapidly when pedalling as if it's under too much tension, like literally you push down and bike slows as if the breaks are on. I don't understand these damn things.

Sorry I haven't encountered that issue and don't really have good ideas on what to check.

Nice video, it’s how I tension mine too. But, on a side note, I was thinking I could put a simple chain tensioner. Would this work with this type of dropout & hub? I have the exact same, but on a different model bike.
@Homeneer
@Homeneer 2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure about that. Do you need to tension the chain often? I don't need to do it often so don't quite see the value of adding a part.

@@Homeneer i’ve tensioned just once so far, 5 months after purchase. I need to do it again now & it’s been another 5 months. Don’t know, I was just thinking that a simple chain tensioner would make it simpler. Not needing to unscrew the bolts, center the wheel & take the shifter every time.

Hello sir! I have a question,when a chain isn't tight can it come off the crank when you paddle hard
@Homeneer
@Homeneer Жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay. Yes I think a loose chain will jump off the chainring easier for example in bumps. But also when shifting. Not sure does peddling hard cause it though

When we tight the nut the cycle chain become loose again please tell me what to do
@Homeneer
@Homeneer 3 жыл бұрын
You need to pull the wheel back to tighten the chain. Then tighten the nuts as much as you can so that it will still allow straightening the wheel. Then fully tighten the nuts. Please remember that the chain is supposed to have a little movement up and down. Too tight is not good.
@vegansoffaith

This bike doesn't have one. I don't feel adding one ads value. Fixed it once and it has been fine ever since.

Wear and stretching I think
@Rocky-69
@Rocky-69 9 ай бұрын
@@Homeneer I thought of stretching too but some people suggested to me because of my extreme push for speed and uphill travel in my single speed bicycle, they suggested the rear tyre moved forward because of the extreme pull I force on the tyre.

It’s easier for me to loosen one side at a time to tighten the chain and easily see the wheel is still centered.
