I am a woman part time trader and I have a full time job. I live in Toronto Canada and I am a single mom of one son. I focus on blue chips stocks and sometimes I make $500 in a day but not very often. Swing trading is also great if you have a full time job. All I say please do not trade with your rent/mortgage money or money you plan on paying bills with. I did that when I started trading and I was basically losing money due to panic. My average is $200 a day as sometimes it’s a great day and other times are very bad.

I was surprised to see Ryan PDT here on the HT youtube channel. He is actually a member of the Bear Bull traders comunity and he even helped Andrew Aziz (the boss of the comunity) do a webinar on the 1minute ORB, providing some very good trade examples. Glad to see him

Great Video Shay and Ryan! I'm still paper trading, but I have to agree with Ryan when he spoke about having the full-time job helps prevent over trading. I blew up my first Live account when I thought I was ready to go Live. I was off work during the Pandemic lockdown. As soon as I returned to my job I started focusing on a similar time period as Ryan. 8:30 to 9:45 CST. The volume was there, and has Shay mentioned, if things don't look good by 10:00 am, usually the rest of the day was bad.

ROFL, the end was sooo good! Great interview. I honestly prefer my day-job to trading big time. It's a great job but it doesn't pay so well at all. So I guess I saw trading as an opportunity, even though it has such a steep learning curve. I got myself into a nasty situation and then I had to learn a lot very quickly. I have no idea how it will go, but what I wanted to say, not all day jobs suck. Some of them are really really nice.

Watching this interview widens the window of understanding the approach and mindset that two traders with completely different “styles” can be so valuable to witness and assimilate. A huge misconception that many aspiring new traders have is the illusion of ‘freedom’. Full time trading is no different that owning and operating a small business. It never ‘grows’ into a larger business and no matter the account size full time traders are full time business owners 24/7/365.

tbh, this guy's doing trading as a hobby, when i started trading i did it because i was in pain and desperate to quit my full time job which was teaching at that time. and man the freedom is just amazing... also when i see a potential trade. if im not gonna make at least 1:2RR, im not gonna jump into that trade so that at least when i lose the next trade, it's already recovered by the previous one...

US 30...is the 30 largest US industrial companies forming an index...You trade the index, you are actually trading the 30 stocks.. The dow jones 30 index is a commodity trading vehicle same as the S and P 500..I have watched the price action of the dow 30 and it produces nice trends.

extra income (from trading, etc) gives you the freedom to choose the job that you love so that u dun have to stuck in an unhappy job. so, it's good to have a job outside trading to meet with people and having social life....

i started trading those morning gappers with a low float 5-50 million float and trading volume larger than the float. those are dangerous but u can make 30 40% in a minute.
